Good half but everything goes our way so far. Blind excellent. Di Maria, Rooney ok. Falcao good, RvP poor most of the time but had 2 moments of genius, both got us a goal. Januzaj in this role looks quite good.

I don't think it's the diamond, looks like a proper 4-3-3 with Januzaj and Falcao as wide attackers (although they play the role differently).

Double standards. What has RvP done to justify a place in the starting lineup then? Falcao? Januzaj? Fellaini?

They've all been worse than him for us this season yet (most of them) get in the team more often than not. Why does Rooney play in midfield when we've got better midfielders (of which Herrera is just one) than him?

I'm not getting into this again. If you can't see Herrera is class, and that he suits our game down to a tee, then that's on you.

I don't really see this performance as any evidence that Carrick is detrimental to our play. I actually think his passing in midfield is better than Rooney's, less calamitous at times too with his passing and allows for more space for other players

No. It was a very tight call. Initially it looked a mile off, but the ball was played so quickly that you need a still shot to see when RVP actually moves.
