Well, he didn't. Didn't he say he played like a number 10, not that he played in the number 10 position? That was Mata. He even said after the game that it was a new position for him.

He was our most advanced midfielder at times because Hull were abysmal that day and all our midfielders went forward. He wasn't our number 10 though.

Even if you count that as a game, that's one game which was forced as a result of Di Maria being injured.

What are the other games that indicate LvG thinks of him as a number 10?
