I love the superstar signings in general but seeing young talents doing well and breaking into the team is priceless
First half of this preseason
Mount will be good and we have another energy midfielder besides Fernandes.
Sancho is Sancho. Needs to be sold.
Amad looks promising but needs to stop taking extra step with the ball. Be more direct.
Hannibal looks also very good. Best player in forst half.
Fernandez can be usefull this year unless we loan him out because of to many players on fullback positions.
Other then that, nothing more.

Obviously not worth putting too much weight on any performances but I've rarely seen Fernandez play and I really like the look of him.

Ten Hag using him on the right to see directly how he does in the role he'd play/compete in. Sancho up top as Rashford and Garnacho are seemingly the main 2 on the left (and probably doesn't want to just toss Forsun up top so he feels he can just move Sancho around).
We definitely need to invest in at least 2 new strikers or forward players
Mainoo - wow! What a calmness he has - great feet and super strong. He was the best player in that half. Hannibal has great fire and aggression. Mount had some lovely touches. Great to see Licha back again!
Him and Bruno will do great together but you can't ever replace every quality. If one is out, Eriksen comes in and provides that bit more control and passing.
Very good 1st half imo. Dominating the scum. Mainoo, Hannibal and Amad have been really great. Love to see it. Mount and Fernandez also very good. Not going to criticise anyone because it's still super early in pre-season and players won't be fit yet. Positive signs.

Energy wise massive upgrade over Ericssen, however I want to see much more of K Mainoo on this tour, this boy looks the real deal.
His confidence is destroyed. This isn't his level at all, hard to watch at times when you know what he's capable of. He needs a manager to really build him up and get his confidence back.
Chill out. He’s hustling and showing pretty good technical ability in very tight space. Once he breaks through he’ll be alright. It’s only one half of first preseason game for Christ’s sake.

Solid half, enjoyed that - need a striker badly though. Sancho looked poor and a off the pace though which was disappointing
Hannibal and Amad both look good and can hold their own. Mainoo so calm in that CDM position. I think he needs lots of games to fulfill his potential. A couple of years loan and he can replace Casemiro.

If he stays, it would be Hannibal, as he looks a high energy player similar to Fred. But I think he will be loaned out again.

As impressive as Amad, Hannibal and Mainoo have been, the youngsters always outshine the senior players in pre-season games.

Really feels like he's targeted by officials though - all other pull backs and fouls that could have been soft bookings get overlooked because it's a friendly - Hannibal does it once and immediately gets booked!

Never seen so many excuses made for a player as with Sancho over these past two years
Nice half with some decent chances. But as always we can't score, some things don't change It was great seeing the lads on the pitch again, especially Licha. Mainoo, Fernandez, Hannibal and Amad did well. Good close control, some nice passes and most importantly, physically they look ready to withstand pressure, especially Mainoo.
Mount is playing in exactly the role we all thought he would be, a faster version of Eriksen. His deadball deliveries haven't been good, but he has pressed well, made some good passes and has done it without dallying on the ball. Him and Bruno are going to be a nightmare to play against with their constant pressure.
