Manchester United vs. Chelsea

Evra received treatment on the impact injury to his thigh after the game against Schalke but if it was that bad he'd have come off as the tie was over. I expect him to start.

Only if you don't support any team and watch football as a neutral.

I was doing everything to stop thinking about this one, but now it's not easy. I don't even want to think what it will be when I wake up... still about 8 hours to this game. Jesus Christ.

8 hours? I don't think so. More like 18 hours.

Going to this, last game I went to was Chelsea 1-2 last season :nervous:

Just drink a lot and put yourself in a coma, when you wake up the league and CL will be over.

Why do people get so nervous for a game? It's a bit odd. I'm emotionally attached to United but I'm anticipating the game more than I'm dreading it. It is a game, after all.

Fear of failure, if we lose this we wont win the league and it'll be the biggest bottle job in the history of mankind, probably why everyones dreading it more than relishing

People are nervous i guess because they are worried about blowing a 15 point lead to a club who have been our main title rivals over the last six years. A lot of people also thought he title was in bag and have been bragging to their scouse mates about number 19 and the thought of the constant ribbing they'll get if we blow it probably makes them sweat a bit.

If we were in Chelsea's position I think I'd be less nervous, cause a few weeks ago i'd have thought it was well over, and really have have had nothing to lose up until this point.

many strange things happened here...
not more than 3 weeks ago most of us were complaining that Nani is not in the short list of nominees for the FA whatever player of the season....and now, most of us don't see Nani in the starting 11 vs Chelsky:)...I also read what Sir Alex stated in manutd.com about having the same starting team like in CL games vs Chelsky...personally I don't think Anceloti wil bite this one again.

Just after getting a major break in my career, but why does it involve me working at 3 o'clock today??

Real anticipation for this one now. As much as I've got feck all faith in our away form you have to respect our home record. We've got to be favourites.

At HT on March 1st we were 18 points clear of this lot. Just can't stand the thought of losing to them today! Going to be incredibly nervy 8 hours or so

Honestly can't remember the last time i was so nervous before a match as i am now. It's a massive game, it's make or brake for the whole season. feck.

I've somehow convinced myself that we'll win the league even if we were to lose today, why my nerves are being kept relatively in check.

I'm the opposite. I'm convinced that the league will be lost if Chelsea win today. That's why I'm convinced that we wont lose. the players know how massive today is.

One thing we do have in our favour is the onus is on Chelsea to score meaning there should gaps to expoit...and their defence has been less than convincing this season. I hope we just don't sit back and invite pressure though. It will be a nervous 90 minutes if we do. I'

I am working for this one too, night shift. So I'm debating whether to record it and watch it, or get live updates. There is some "neutrals" (read ABUS) at work though so Im sure I'll know the result before leaving work anyway.

They will become favourites and theirs to lose but it will still be up for grabs. I'm trying to ease the nerves by thinking that at least we have European Cup final at Wembley to look forward whatever the case.

Same here. My best mate is a hard-core Chelsea fan and so are all his family, and I'm spending the day round theirs on Sunday as we're going go-karting. Ahhh.

What does that entail? Ownership of Chelsea's History 2004-11 DVD and matching shitty plastic flag set?

Goes to every home game and every away game that doesn't affect his working hours, has had a season ticket for the last 8 years (he's 23) and has gone to pretty much every big game including the CL final in Moscow.

Surprised no one picked this one up...& they call United fans glory hunters, been supporting Chavs for 8 years and he's 23, bloody hell, by the time I was 15 I'd already been a United supported for over 10 years, I'd seen them relegated to the 2nd tier & we hadn't won much of anything...

C'mon UNITED!

This is it, the Title Decider...
To be honest if United lose today, it won't decide who's gonna win the league. :p

It may be title-decider in only one way. We know which one.

But if they have control by the end of today, i fear that they will comfortably win their remaining two games...

Well I have bad feelings about all our Away games and big games in general in the PL but I think we won't lose today. Though I really hope we can win and avoid the further tension of needing 4 more points from the next 2 games.

Then we'll just have to win ours more comfortably with two goals more than them.
And I do fancy us to beat Blackburn (A) and Blackpool (H) by more goals than Chelsea will beat Newcastle (H) and Everton (A)

In fact, I don't even think Chelsea will win against Everton.

Doesn't matter anyway, as we won't lose today.

True, the outcome of today's game could well be decided by 1 goal, so that would less the losing team by two goals which is retrievable in two remaining games

We beat them at OT 3-0 a couple of years ago, how good that would be again today, to be undisputed champions!

Aye. Everton will cause them trouble, but more importantly, we are to rely on ourselves by beating them today.

Now, to be fair, he didn't say he was a Chelsea supporter for eight years. He said he had a season ticket for eight years. There's a difference.

I'm 32 and I never had a season ticket for United. ;)

Neither have I tbh.

It just looked a bit suss that he suddenly became the worlds greatest Chav right around the time the sugar daddy arrived...
