That actually makes me feel a bit better now. If we need to add something special to midfield or attack, we have decent options. I hope the starters show that they aren't needed today though. All up to them to prove their class.

No he hasn't thrown it. Carrick and Fletch are injured and won't play Marseille match. Champions League is more important than FA Cup and that's why he hasn't risked Scholes/Giggs. The team isn't great but circumstances has forced his hand.

Or it could very well save our season. Being out of the FA Cup and keeping players fit for the CL and League isn't the end of the world. It would also have the little silver lining of giving Arsenal some more games to play. We knock them out today and the only thing they are playing for is the league.

Why is everyone laughing and getting up Fergie's arse? This is the best team he could put out given injuries. Giggs and Scholes looked off the pace at Anfield and we need energy in the middle of the park against Arsenal.
It'd only be ONE extra game.
