Manchester United vs. Arsenal

So what first team midfielders are actually fit for the game against Marseille?

Scholes, Giggs, Gibson? Is that seriously it?

O'Shea and Gibson is not a disaster. O'Shea is actually not too bad in the holding position and both will compete. I don't expect any fluid passing but quite an exciting match with both the twins unleashed.

THe only good thing about the lineup is that I have no hope from the match now so I'll watch it relatively tension free. I still can't believe that's our lineup. Our lineup vs Everton in the semis 2 years back was better.

PS: Though it's going to be rather fun to watch. The twins on the wings

One of the papers said Fletcher had some flu/bug and wouldn't make this game but definitely out against Marseille? What's wrong with Fletcher?

Hopefully Ando will be fit.

I wanted us to make the FA cup a piority this season what with City still in it. The thought of them winning it makes me feel sick. I guess Fergie's hands are tied though with the injuries.

He's basically thrown it. He's said I don't give a feck about this competition that's served me so well and more importantly I dont give a feck about the fans that have paid to go to the game. I mean that's ridiculous isn't it.

No defenders on the bench - but then there are three starting in midfield!

Confirmed SUBS: Kuszczak, Giggs, Scholes, Obertan, King, Valencia, Berbatov.

Well we don't need defenders on the bench do we

I'll be amazed if Fletcher and Carrick don't play vs Marseille. Don't trust Fergie one bit.

We haven't lost yet.

Assuming the bold is referring to everything else you wrote, yes. Yes it is.

No, if Carrick and Fletcher are injured I can believe in that choice - though Gibson ahead of Giggs is odd I think.

I think we will be up against it to get a result for sure.

We are decimated by injuries you moron, what the feck is he supposed to do? What happens if Giggs or Scholes play today and get fecked?

What then?

 Who is he going to play? We have to play in the Champions League and can't lose Scholes or Giggs for that. There aren't really any other options since apparently he killed the rest of our midfield after Liverpool last week.

He has prioritised the Marseille match ahead of this one (thus resting Giggs and Scholes and not starting them). That's all. It's hardly as if we've got tons of other options right now.

Even if we'll win 100-0, it's still wrong team selection.

Do you really think Giggs and Scholes would be able to play both games in 3 days?

Apart from that what else could he do?

Gibson is a disaster thou. He can't perform against lower-league sides let alone Arsenal.
