I think making VdV the MOTM also exaggerates how busy he was. Two or three very good saves, another couple of routine saves and otherwise uninvolved. It's not as though we were under the cosh for 90 minutes. Almunia had a fair bit to do too.

West Ham have a bit of grit and leadership in midfield.
Complaining about the opponent's goal keeper playing well is completely bizarre if you ask me. He's a player like anyone else is. Why shouldn't he make saves?
