Manchester United transfer news and rumours for summer 2014

I think we are done as far as the players coming in. I would like to think we have addressed all the issues, but if ever we get a chance to sign anothe good midfielder before Monday, we should go for it.

I'd take Vlaar right now. I wanted us to piss off Athletic again and get Laporte, but he'd do.

Seems to like ball playing CBs? If that was your thinking Ryan Shawcross is pulling up trees but I just don't think he wants their type at all...might be wrong

Woke up to this:

With less than two days remaining in the transfer window there are plenty of interesting stories in the papers.Manchester United are expected to be busy and the Daily Star Sunday suggests it will be a whirlwind 48 hours involving up to 11 players. A deal is close to being finalised for Daley Blind, while Nigel de Jong could also be on his way in and United have also reportedly been in talks over Arturo Vidal and William Carvalho. Meanwhile, Tom Cleverley, Shinji Kagawa, Danny Welbeck, Javier Hernandez, Anderson, Marouane Fellaini and Anders Lindegaard could all be on their way out, according to the papers.

According to that Daily Mail article we beat Burnley;

"The Mexican is out of favour at Old Trafford and was an unused substitute in the victory against Burnley on Saturday."

I take the rest of the article as seriously.

It is the Daily Mail. They sack journalists for being factual. Probably.

If we buy anyone else (which we wont) i wouldnt be surprised to see a central defender. The fact it took so long to get blind suggests he was a back up to vidal. Hopefully the delay in the kagawa transfer is us tring to get hummels although i cant see that ever happening unless we pay well over the odds.

After getting herera, blind and ADM our weakest link isour defence

Just sign someone to cheer me up.

It's been a pretty shit day. Got sunburnt waiting for this girl to tun up because of the traffic jams (last day of summer holiday so the shops were packed) and then felt shit because of some dodgy noodles. My face looks like a feckin' tomato so all my students are going to give me shit all week.
Now Kagawa has gone so they will not care about United anymore.

Hernandez has gone to Real on loan for the season.

Kagawa has gone permanently to Dortmund.

More to go I think...

Why can't we loan some players? We never do it.
Larsson says hello.

Apart from Daley Blind we won't sign anyone else tomorrow. It will be all about outgoings. Don't get me wrong I am delighted with Herrera, Shaw and Di Maria but I believe we still could have done more as we still have gaps in our squad, especially in defense that need filling before we can think about challenging again.

They will be filled in January and next summer- this year is all about getting into the top 4 and rebuilding - what last year was supposed to be under the Moyesiah. So yeah let's hope we get top 5 and fill these holes for next season.

You can't expect to sign everyone you need in a single transfer window, not even Manchester City, PSG and Chelsea with their billionaire owners managed that. Aren't you happy? We added 2 defenders in Shaw and Rojo and 3 midfielders in Herrera, Blind and Di Maria in a single transfer window. Once we have all those players we signed in the starting lineup our issue won't be one of personnel but team chemistry. Right now our team doesn't look like a team at all. We look like picking 11 players and putting them together for the first time in their lives.

I wouldn't count us out of signing one more tomorrow apart from Blind. You never know what can happen on deadline day.

we've loaned Hernandez to Real Madrid?!?

Is it only me that finds that mental? Probably one of the few teams he'll get an even smaller amount of playing time?

I'm inclined to believe the majority of the press reports on this one. Think we're done after Blind for this summer, though probably a few more departures tomorrow.

*tumbleweed*

The only vague rumour of United incomings today is Falcao and he will surely end up at City.

Is our transfer window ending on a whimper?

We've sorted our deals earlier so don't have to worry about getting late transfers in.

If we sell Cleverley and Anderson which it seems like we will.

Plus Powell going on loan.

And Fellaini being injured/sold.

That will essentially leave us with Carrick, Fletcher, Herrera and Blind who can play there but first position is LB/LCB as our out and out midfielders for the entire season....

Blind's main position is as a DM/CM.

Why aren't we in for Kondogbia, a monster in midfield and would cost 20m MAX especially with Monaco getting rid, would be better than Carvalho...

"Sportsmail understands that QPR have had a £3.75million bid accepted for Manchester United defender Will Keane."

Not sure whether they got the Will part wrong or the Defender part wrong, I think defender.

Sad to see Will Keane go, very few youngsters have the finishing ability he has, never truly got a go, that cruciate ligament injury really did it for him :(

PS Sportsmail are retard...

Will Keane, Defender lol

and also

"Real Madrid have confirmed the signing of Javier Hernandez, with an option to buy the Chilean striker."

Javier Hernandez, Chilean now lol.
