Manchester United 0:1 Atletico Madrid (Sat 30th July, 12:45 UK time)

Typical AM performance. Defend all game, score from the 1 chance you get.

This is typical Atletico match, I am personally happy from what I have seen from United mostly.

Ahh I see the Bruno bashers are quiet about Eriksen being the one to the lose the ball for the goal. Only Bruno is at fault when that happens right?

I don't usually agree with Michael Owen, but this Felix lad looks a proper footballer who usually scores whenever he hits the back of the net.

That's a good finish, but Dalot has to try and play him outside. Just don't think he's good enough.

Worrying to have 2 weeks in hand on Atletico and they look every bit as good.

Nah. We were comfortably the better team in that first half. Second half has been pretty nothing, for both teams. And they're fluking a win here.

MUTV trying to control the narrative that it's just pre-season, ignoring the fact that we seem to be treating this as a real game and are much further along in our pre-season preparation.

Obvious positives from this game:

Fred
Malacia
Dalot
Eriksen

In that order.

Eriksen came and should have had two assists.
Lindelof wasnt bad.
Elanga is useless.
Bruno still rushing things.

Donny's been atrocious. I'm all for giving him chances and I've been defending his case during the Ole years, but at some point he's got to grab the chance when he gets on the pitch and get himself involved in the game rather than expecting the game to come to him. It's obvious to see when Eriksen's come in at the same time in the same position and been heavily involved from the first second.

I think had Sancho been fit and available from the start of this we would have won. Clearly missed his creativity and ball retention ability. He’s been pretty much our best player this pre-season.
