Does it matter when we arent doing it in the champions league final or at least winning the league?

It matters in the sense that we have become game raisers. We used to laugh at those.

Yeah very composed on the ball for a final and being such a young lad.
I duno. I haven't seen him that much and just expected more. I think I'd still start Walker if I was England with TAA his backup to come on and change the games of required.

If city loses this game we know for sure Guardiola is a flop of a coach/manager, the team with the best players in Europe and they are been destroyed by Chelsea. Cancelo and Aguero should be playing.

Cancelo's been atrocious since February and should be nowhere near the first XI and Kun has barely played for 18 months... to criticize Pep (who has got it wrong) and then spout that as the alternative is ridiculous.

And imagine if Ole changed his usual system and played a midget at 9... and was 1-0 down at HT? There'd be MASSES of threads.

How is this comparable? One has won two league titles, a bunch of league cups, and toys with PL sides weekly, then gets it wrong in a final (it’s not done yet, but hopefully he got it wrong).

The other can’t beat Villarreal whose first 11 combined cost less than Fred, has 0 trophies to his name, and no track record of success at the highest level anywhere.

No offence, but did you think this through before comparing Pep to Ole?

Chelsea defending like Villareal.

Lets see if Pep is as good as people think he is

Well Chelsea aren't winning the league either... And if they win they can win the CL then maybe we're not a million miles away from doing so either.

The lead up to Chelsea's goal is so similar to how Utd scored the second at the Etihad this season. A simple diagonal to the LB takes out City's press. Mendy tried that pass 2 or 3 times so clearly something TT has worked on.

Are you such a Pep man that you can't admit he's got tactics wrong, maybe just once in his life?

Naw, I’d think differently and start James over Walker.

Its funny how we finished 2o but the team that finished 4o seems to be miles ahead of us in terms of quality. If it wasn't for Werner they could have scored atleast 1 more.

Not that odd since they only got a good manager in half way through the season.

If Man City lose this, Pep GuardiFailure.

Mancini and Pelligrini have won the exact same competitions as Pep, if Pep can’t claim the one prize that eluded them, then he’s not improved them imo.

To me, points total isn’t worth the same as actual silverware.

They have? When and where?

Seems like most people are rooting for Chelsea. Is it because they are deserving or is it because the hate for City runs deep ?

Chelsea looking like a ridiculously well oiled machine.

Every single one of their players knows what their role is, and what they should be doing out on that pitch.
Impressive what Tuchel has achieved in 4 months and yet some people here think 2 and a half years is not enough time for Ole because rebuild or something like that.

Chelsea is easily the better team. Pep has no idea how to handle chelsea attack.

It is hilarious that this is the third time they play them in a few weeks and the pattern is the same in all three games.

I guess one of these teams are going to end up bottlers tonight. Chelsea for throwing a half time lead or Man City for not winning.
Every final needs a bottler

No. Outside of here I don't expect him to be scrutinized or blamed, he's done it time after time and it's rarely mentioned.

This result is on him so far. Let's see if he can make the right changes.

Maybe it's just Irish Journalists but he is often criticised for this exact thing on the podcasts I listen to. If he loses this they'll be laughing at how he always over-thinks it and shoots himself in the foot in big European games.

Werner really wastreful again, can only be better next season. But to be fair he is creating a lot and making the right runs and movements, like the first goal.

Really impressed how disciplined Chelsea plays under Tuchel. So much structure.

But what is this City lineup without Fernandinho/ Rodri ?!?! Some could say the goal could have been better defended with one more DCM..

He's not far batter really. Chilwell is a better attacking full back whilst Shaw is better in the defensive third. Has any full back in the PL had more direct goal contributions than Chilwell this season? They're both very good options for England.

I'd agree, I'd narrowly take Shaw over Chilwell based on this season but its tight. If either of you wanna swap for Benjamin Mendy I think that'd be fair.

Fraudiola up to his old tricks getting found out in a big game again!

Hasn't Shaw created the 2nd most chances in Europe this season ony behind messi? I don't see much a difference in the final 3rd, but Shaw is better defensively and his ball retention, touch and control is 2nd to none.

Pep will easily make subs and turn it around. If it was Ole in this final it would have been lost a long time ago.

Imagine actually comparing Ole to two managers who are fighting for CL trophy while we can't even win a Mickey Mouse cup.

Just stop embarrassing us already.

My friend wants City to win. Truly bizarre. His reason is that his Dad’s a city fan and thinks he deserves to see his team win the CL, and that they deserve to win it more than Chelsea.

Even if his way of thinking his charismatic, I still never let him forget how absolutely sickening and wrong his way of thinking is.

Tough crowd, he only thinking of his da
