And Chelsea are actually not defending deep and playing on just the counter. They have the better and more organized side in attacking this half.

Chelsea are lucky that the chance for the goal didn't fall for Werner - he'd have sliced it out for a throw in.

If Werner could actually strike a ball cleanly, he could’ve had 2 by now.

If Chelsea wins this, we should just hire their management and recruitment team ffs.

ReeceJames looks better everything I see him. Great composure on the ball. Almost an ideal hybrid of AWB and Trent

He was always good... never really got why he wasnt rated on this forum. He is just a really good player.
That’s not true. He’s improved an awful lot this season and he has quite a few fans on here now.

From where Chelsea were 4 months ago, this is one hell of a turnaround

Pep has pepped himself today. Terrible decision to leave Fernandinho and Rodri on the bench. You need one of them in. So strange to leave the holding midfielder out. Suicide.

Makes me ponder outright disrespect by Pep towards Chelsea or are the other options not fully fit and thus save for emergency/limited minutes?

Completely dominant. Pep left the holding midfielders out and it's suicide so far. All over the place and Chelsea just walking through at will. Just imagine what a proper defensive mid would do for United.. the unglamorous position which is arguably the most important on the pitch these days.

Its impressive that Chelsea is leading 1-0 with Werner upfront. I would bet my house if that was Werner instead of Havertz he would fck up that chance too

Pep’s decision to not play Rodri isn’t working.

Good half of football. Proper final with both teams going for it.

And an encouraging scoreline...from the lesser of two evils perspective.

Danger of Pep disappearing up his own arse again here. Playing a system in terms of personnel that the players aren't used to in the biggest final in the club game all to create a narrative of his own genius has backfired in that half.
