Bizarre thread. The players shouldn't show support for one of their own suffering another in a long line of potentially career ending injuries?Fair play to City. No player in the history of football has ever suffered a long-term injury before... This is unprecedented territory for a football club. A lovely gesture.
We did something similar for Alan Smith (I think) can't really criticise City for doing similar.

I sort of agree. Nice for Gundogan to see I suppose, but does feel a bit cringe worthy. It's bloody cringe worthy PR nonsense. There's absolutely no reason for the over the top public display of support.
Yeah we did...
poor Vincent.
But they can (and more than likely have) expressed their support and best wishes in private. My issue with it is that by making it public and over the top it cheapens the gesture and makes it look fake. Public support is only necessary when someone receives public criticism. It's fair enough imo. Gundogan must be in a dark place with his injury history so this would have hit him harder than most
It was after the game too, which we won.I guess it was a cup final instead of just a league game, but whatever.
Brazil says this isn't the best thing to do...
Lovely gesture. Next week we should all wear "Stones' career" on the back of ours.
They dedicated the Walcott goal to him, it was the most PepCity thing they could think of.What we did for Smith was dedicate a trophy win for him.
Are City dedicating this league appearance to Gundogan? It's a bit weird.
John Glenn?
Bowie
Prince
Lemmy
Buzz Aldrin

Him too?John Glenn?
Gudogan will be turning in his grave at this performance..
