Way some on here talk I'm surprised they don't spell his name Mabaresi or Mabeckenbauer
Never know if true but some reporting we've made a bid and Leicester maintain he isn't for sale. We might end up having to offer a VVD fee or more to even soften their stanceHow’s the Mackgoire transfer saga unfolding?
Why would they when his name is Maguire?Way some on here talk I'm surprised they don't spell his name Mabaresi or Mabeckenbauer

No. We should go wirelessSo are we signing this Mcwire fecker or not?
Can't wait for the season to startWhy are we buying a CB? We have bought 3 over the last three seasons and are just as bad at the back. Jones should have been sold years ago. Buy a LB for feck sakes and then a RW . If we get McG will we see 7 defenders on pitch again this season ?
Because despite parking the bus Degea is still one of the busiest keepers in the league. Jones always has something in a bandage, Smalling has too many brainfarts, lindelol is lindelol, Rojo is a red card waiting to happen and bailly has some injury problems. Why are we buying a CB? Its just getting ridiculous now, we could have bought this guy for 12m last summer but we bought a swedish softy. We have Rojo a new deal but he is without a doubt our worst signing in recent years absolutely dreadful signing and we bought a African boy who doesnt know how to head a ball . Just sell Rojo, use Tuanzbe and TFM and buy what we clearly need .Can't wait for the season to start
On a serious note you make a valid point. Why are we spending so much on a central defender when we've already got so many?

For a team that played as defensively as we did last year, it's unconscionable how much work Degea had to do.
Being tighter at the back without needing the whole team to go it would free people up to go the other way, the right way. We still need a lb and a rw. And at least one cb has got to go if we get Macgyver.
Im not sure Leicester were pretty stubborn with Mahrez and he even put in a transfer request. Im thinking we'll have to go very close to if not meet that £75million valuation. Still Id rather pay that to leicester instead of to spurs for alderweirald. In a way that is good, as Leicester went from not for sale to 75m, a 60-65m should make the deal go through.
What has that got to do with anything? First choice or not, we are in for him and Leicester are asking for silly money.Have you considered that maybe he isn't our first choice, but our first choice isn't possible to get?
Would rather have Aldeweireld because he’s a defender at his peak and we need someone like that, rather than someone who’s a bit younger and will take time to settle in.
fecking sign him up then, J lingz N Hazza MagzAny player will take time to settle in. Maguire is 25. Looks like we've got another Lingard here.
Would’ve been fine signing Toby for that amount but I don’t want another lumbering English CB. Slabhead can get fecked.

The conversation you jumped into the middle was partly about buying a player off a relegated team. How that would have been ridiculous for some. I mentioned how stupid is that logic. There are lots of examples of quality players bought off such teams. Our own Roy Keane is one if i’m not mistaken. I mentioned Robertson as a fresh example. You're criticising us for now doing exactly what Liverpool did for a centre back. Not buying the player when they were way cheaper.
What does Liverpool buying a left back have to do with us buying a centre back?
Imagine if we'd tried to buy a player who was part of a super sh!t relegated team.
It happens all the time. A player makes a progression, and then develops and emerges as a better player. Maguire has obviously done so, as he's gone from Hull to not just getting in the England squad, but being a key name on the sheet.
Have you ever watched him? Lumbering is a laughably inaccurate word to describe him.
Let’s be honest, this guy’s crap
To be honest, it's hard to know what a 65m player is these days. He's not crap, he's certainly better than some of the CBs we have here. But he's not a 65m defender and he wouldn't make that much difference to our playstyle for the price he's gonna cost
Not to mention we have 6 CBs already cause we've been buying 1 every year without selling anyone
Think it would be Rojo to go.
To be honest, it's hard to know what a 65m player is these days.
Jones and Rojo would be first in line out the door.
Why ? They're both better footballers than Smalling, and when they both managed to stay fit formed the best central defensive partnership we've had in the last 4 or 5 years, albeit it for only a few months.
