Whilst you're partially right, you're partially wrong. If you compare your wages to the rest of the world you'd be rich as most people in the world are in poverty. With that being said it's irrelevant.
Maguire isn't doing anything wrong by taking a payout from the club, everyone would do it unless they're a moron. The idea of being a footballer is to play football, but it's not a fairytale, people play for money too. That compensation is for the hard work you put in day in and day out and the sacrifices you have to make. Maguire can't live a normal life due to being a footballer, playing in front of thousands of entitled weirdos (many of whom give him abuse) is not a prize.
It is weird to have a black and white take on this. There is no right or wrong. Every footballer takes a decisions based on their priorities and family/financial situation and future plans.

Pete O’Rourke is a bit flaky in terms of reliability. He did get props from one of the more reliable sources on social media for getting the initial scoop on a transfer story I saw recently. So he’s not a complete chancer.

Pretty sure this is because we are not going to be given the funds to sign a replacement. Jokes and memes aside, Maguire as 4th or 5th choice CB is better than nothing. I think the Glazers have indicated that no more funds will be released this window regardless of sales.
