The idea of City having Guardiola and us having Mourinho makes me feel sick.
It's quite likely though, isn't it? Pep's my choice, too.

While City are playing lovely football, passing us off the park, our layers will be looking for new ways to hack them to death. The idea of City having Guardiola and us having Mourinho makes me feel sick.
If we don't get Pep we would need a big personality for our manager. Giggs would get trampled underfoot. People go on about how Jose behaves, SAF could be obnoxious when it suited him. Giggs is just a first class arsehole but with the personality of a bowl of cold tripe. The idea of City having Guardiola and us having Mourinho makes me feel sick.
Far better than being left with Giggs, though. The idea of City having Guardiola and us having Mourinho makes me feel sick.
Both of those are paper talk there has been nothing confirmed on either story. We could get Pep or Carlo we have the financial power and history to attract them we will just have to wait and see what unfolds in the coming months.Who is going to be left? I think Chelsea might go after Pep in the summer. Carlo to Bayern? I am worried who would want to play for LvG if he stays his full term. A load of average Dutch players, because he has worked with them before.
Pisses me off that he says we need pacey players while he sold Hernandez and Di Maria. Our squad would be close to complete with those two now.
He could have kept both if he'd wanted to and the buck stops with LVG on this.
We didn't really choose to sell Di Maria though did we?
The player clearly wanted out.

Half because of the way LVG treated him.
And before any of the Caf body language experts attack me he has even said that LVG prevented him playing the way he wanted.
Did he actually say that soon after he joined United? He also said about a week after we signed him that he didn't really want to be here, would have signed for PSG in the summer if they had the money, and that he still wanted to join them.
I'd love the Di Maria at Real Madrid, the one we saw for the first month, but I think its his fault that we don't have that.
Perhaps a more understanding manager could have put an arm around him, but there's no way it should have been necessary after 2 months.

"PSG, I think they had a money problem and they couldn't buy players," he told French station Telefoot. "This is the main reason I didn't go there. Playing in the French league would please a lot of players.
"Now I'm in the English league. But you never know, there is a lot of movement in football. You can never predict where you're going to play.
"There were a lot of clubs interested in me, a lot really. But Manchester United appeared and didn't go away. They absolutely wanted me and it happened."
"It's a different style of football here at Manchester United," he continued. "I'm very happy. I don't have regrets about leaving Real Madrid. I think I won everything I wanted with Real: La Liga, the Champions League and the Copa del Rey."
"It could have been a good experience for me to go to Paris. I know I'm still young, perhaps I'll go to PSG one day. I don't know how it will all end."
Cheers. That can't have endeared him to LVG. I still would have kept him, whether he wanted to be here or not. From November, and I don't think he had another good game for us after that interview.
We need to cut our losses now. If we wait until we can't get top 4 we'll be out of the CL for a long time, with Pep going to City, Klopp at Liverpool, a resurgent Arsenal, and Chelsea getting a new manager and inevitably spending money on transfers.
He looks like a defeated man who would rather be getting pissed up in his retirement villa in Portugal than managing a football club. 45 minutes to save his job.
