He's a good manager. But of a spastic in interviews but it's not his first language.

The tactics are wrong.

The issue for me is great leicester sit back all game, but toothlessly crossing the ball isn't the answer.

There needs to be some kind of creative player in the midfield to create chances, what Mahrez did at the other end showcases that.

United were predictable, pass out wide, cross in box, rinse, repeat.

Valencia the same player he always is, square up player try to accelerate past and smash it.

Where is is the running at players? having a go at someone? buy Griezmann up top, buy Isco, buy Mahrez I don't care but there needs to be that kind of player, drop Rooney to CM.

Please sell Fellaini, look at replacing Valencia too, the squad needs to be addressed to actually have the right tools for any opponent.

I disagree United were the dominant team today, they were the team with most of the ball true, but they didn't really do much.

This is what irks me about football under LVG, for someone that boasts about "total football" I cant remember the last time we scored a goal with some neat, close one touch football on the edge of the box. Most of our goals just come from Martial or Rashford pulling something out of nowhere.

For a team that crosses a lot, we sure are wasteful.

I still find his tactics/choices annoying and really can't see who he is getting the most out off.

Martial is doing well but for me it's all his own doing, he's the one making openings through his great dribbling from deep, where is our gameplan to play him in to great areas? He should be picking the ball up closer to the edge of the box for me. Same with Rashford, where is any plan to put him through on goal?

As usual the plan is pass it around for a while, work it wide, cross it in, repeat. It just doesn't get the best out of our most dangerous players.

Rooney has looked good dropping deeper but does he suit the rest of the team there? I'm not sure. His main play is getting it wide and with the right players that could be very effective. With our current players I don't think it is as we have virtually no consistent crossers and bar Fellaini (who I don't actually think scores many with his head) we have few targets. With Rooney dropping off and providing a small goal threat we need someone in the middle who will get ahead of him or commit Rooney to playing deeper and play an am ahead of him.

Surely we should be concentrating on how we can get Martial/Rashford in to the best positions we can.

Problem with that is, we rarely get it over the first man either
Even when fellaini left the pitch yesterday, we looked to cross in balls....to who, absolutely pointless.

It just seems gone are the days where we hit a team on the break, make 2 or 3 dangerous passes and actually have a 1v1 with the keeper

I don't watch them always, but you don't see Liverpool, Arsenal and City floating in balls very often, because they play to their strengths, which is through the middle.

That should be our strength too with the players we have. LVG makes that impossible for us because we build up so slow, we let the opposition get back into a solid defensive unit....
He probably doesn't realise this, so he thinks, we can't pass through this, lets whip in a cross or 5

You guys realize that he won't be sacked unless this poll reaches 1000 sack-him-now-votes. Do you want to sit here next season thinking you should've changed your vote? I hope not. Now is the time for action!

Please sack him, so we can make Sad Chris a Happy Chris.:)

We whip so much pointless crosses into the box, its almost as if Moyes never left.

For all his years in top football management he comes out so poor an naive using that excuse. He's the one who decided to trim down the squad and not bring enough cover.

For any top team in England not just Man United you compete on four fronts and you don't get mid-season breaks. Injuries are just a part of the game and should never be used as a valid argument.

But again i expected nothing less from this deluded man. Always about him and never his fault.

FFS he's speaks about the FA cup as if its still a major honour. Who gives a feck about that anymore?

I don't. Its a fourth priority thing after the CL, the EPL title and qualifying to the CL, a cup were the 5th place team will go toe to toe for it against mighty Crystal Palace. It used to be a big thing till the 90s. Nowadays its just a non trophy like the charity shield.

LVG spent more money with us in 2 years than Leicester did in their 132 year history. let that sink in

I like how just about every excuse Van gaal, wenger or any other manager has come up with over the years is blown apart by leicester winning the title this season. No amount of injuries/lack of spending/whatever else should see united, arsenal, city, chelsea or liverpool finish behind Leicester so it just shows how much they've all fecked up this season and the last few.

I actually think Leicester aren't the best example as they're a one in a million outlier. Spurs and Pochettino are enough to make LVG look amatuerish.

Both of them really. Also it's not even just LvG and the people in charge at United... It's every other "big" club in England. Arsenal, City, Chelsea, Liverpool and United have basically had an equally awful season. City's redeeming light is the CL semi, ours is an FA cup final, while Liverpools is the Europa League semi. Arsenal and Chelsea have just had complete failures of seasons and underlines how terrible the decision making on managers and transfers has been at those clubs.

Said repeatedly in the poty speech that for the club top4 or the league is more important, while for the manager a title(f.a. cup) is more important. Said he wants to win a title and the club wants higher league finish. Said he wants to win titles next year but first has to finish in champions league places.

It is clearer to me that he will only go if we dont get champions league. If we do, he stays. What would caf want ? Top4 with Lvg incharge for next year and giggs later or 5 th place and mou next season.?

PS : He also said he is one of the best managers in the world and media knows feck all.

He's just got one more year at best, I'd happily swallow that year as long as we have champions league football. Having CL is paramount to our recruiting efforts.

IF we get 4th place and that's a big if, it's going to be at the expense of Man City and it will be kind of nice to see Pep Guardiola and the blue juggernauts playing in the Massive Massive Europa League.
