And that's because of what?
The players Fergie bought over the years were they serial winners? No, he instilled that belief into them and the team. To use that as his excuse just goes to highlight his own incompetence.
Why do you make out it is an excuse used by LVG?
Fergie was actually very good at identifying players that had a winning mentality and desire to be the best. Something LVG has not been good at.
Anyway, this is just going round in circles, I just find it strange LVG gets bashed for saying exactly what many on the caf have been saying for months.

What is he actually saying that the Caf has been saying? Why is he allowed to think and say the same things as the fans when he holds the clubs destiny in his hands and shapes how it is supposed to move forward?

"Leicester City have had it easy this season. For a club like Leicester City it is much more easy to buy players,' Van Gaal said.
Also the pressure of the transfer of players is less big and also the pressure on the players to perform is less big. So it is a big difference.'

'We have played a lot of matches – only Man City and Liverpool have played more. We have played many more matches and in spite of all the injuries we are still there.'

'We are still in the first five - last season we were in the first four"

I honestly give the feck up!

What a shit manager and what stupid excuses!

Someone should had asked him to move to Bournemouth this summer, and win it all with them. Since it's easier, you know.

This. LvG will make up any excuse just to put a blame on anything/anyone bar himself. It is all about negative circumstances and we are lucky to have a manager who keeps us in top 5.

What the fecking feck. We will be mental to stick with him next season. Mind boggling level of standard dropping and insanity and bullshit and delusion.

 That comment on Leicester.

Lucky lucky Leicester. Don't have to deal with being a huge club and all that.

It's amazing that the big clubs ever win anything when you think about it really.

I honestly give up. This guy is a fecking clown. Leicester has had it easy this season? Keep your mouth shut you old fool!

Agree to a point, the big clubs have not performed this season and they have made the most of the chance they have been given.
But they still had to go out and do the job, all credit to them.
I dont expect them to do anything next season.

It's almost as if he knows he won't get sacked (not this time of the season anyway) and is just on a mission to see how many United fans he can piss off. Very Wenger esque.

Clown's lucky Wenger decided to perform a RP suicide because otherwise he'd be grilled by the media after the amount of shit he's spouted. Full of excuses, shite manager with absolutely no ability to self-reflect on his shortcomings, deluded twat. Can't wait for when he's finally gone from this club. I hope that all this shite was spouted because he knows that he's getting replaced soon.

Why would you spend the build up to a cup final repeatedly saying your players aren't good enough or they aren't the players you want? The same players you've spent two years stifling with negative try not to lose tactics. If there's no winning mentality then it's no bloody wonder.

It's the equivalent of a chef at a top restaurant complaining that Macdonalds have it easier than him when it comes to producing good food.

Way to motivate Leicester and demotivated our squad you deluded clown.

Keane got the boot for sticking his boot in the players. Hopefully the same will happen to LVG an they are just letting him see out the season.

It's no wonder our squad lacks a will to win with this muppet in charge

I'm fairly certain the decision to let him go has already been made.

Thay was fecking akward:lol:

I know that "Looney Louis" is a bit of a cliche but in that video he behaves like some of the head cases I've met in pubs over the years who latch on to you and suddenly take issue with one thing you say and turn into a psycho.

What I can't work out is if he's been like that always, or if he's just decided to let loose because he knows his time is up.

See I think it's the opposite.

I think he knows he has a month left and so he doesn't give a feck anymore. His demeanour last week at Wembley wasn't that of a man who'd just seen his team score a last minute winner to get to a cup final. He seemed irritated and tetchy.

I cannot wait until he's gone.

Well, it's not incorrect. They've all won those trophies.

Sorry but, I can't see how LvG can be defended after saying Rooney and Carrick "might" have won more than one title and that De Gea never won it.

In this case, I believe it is something to get the hump over it. I'd expect the manager of my club to know everything about the players.

Anyways, there'll be another shit storm in a few days time
Aye, this is the guy with the final word on who comes in and who goes, decisions with significant financial and performance implications yet people find it acceptable that he doesn't know basic information about our key players! How far will people go to play the devil's advocate?

So we should defend him because he hasn't a fecking notion about what his current players have won?

For a guy who is apparently mad into details, it's a ridiculous thing to say. How exactly do you think the players will feel after hearing it?
It isn't great when he is quite happy to wheel off all the things he has won.

Leicester will get a nasty shock next season when they aren't everyones favourite underdogs. The big teams will also retool.

I've become detached from these interviews now. I just watch them as a kind of satire.

It's like we're managed by David Brent.

I'm not sure what he is trying to do in his answers. He ends up talking inaccurate sh*te in order to simply avoid saying "It will be difficult having Leicester come here as potential champions, that (to be champions) is the position we always want to be in and hopefully this experience adds to the drive and determination of the players to not let this happen again".

Instead he acts like a defensive child and utilises a semi plausible excuse (that conveniently shifts any blame from him to the players) which he decides to validate by using mostly the wrong players as an example. He should have talked about Martial, Lingard, Schneiderlin etc. not Rooney and Carrick who are two of the most decorated players in this era of English football and De Gea certainly isn't part of the problem.

To further confuse things he starts rattling on about transition and players over 32-33 years old when he arrived. "5 or 6" is his guess, complete sh*t once again. If we decide to be nice and include Rio, Vidic (actually 31 at the time) and Evra who were all moved on (two of which before he even took charge) who else does he have on his list. Carrick, nobody else was even 31.

Why start talking about things or making statements if you don't have a clue. It's OK to do it with your mate down the pub but in front of journalists and the watching world it just makes you look like a fool. He raised both these points in an attempt to redirect scrutiny, nobody asked him about the medal haul and age of his squad, he chose to put the focus there.

I have become almost convinced that his lack of English skills and manner of communication is one of the root causes of the teams struggles.

The video of the fans day at Carrington was so unbearable I had to cut it off before the end, the guy was clearly nervous to begin with and LVG shows absolutely no empathy towards him and just starts talking at him rather than trying to make it a pleasant experience for him. If he was unsure before he went Louis, he most likely thinks you are a prize pr*ck now.

 Weirdly enough a lot of his tactics and comments are eerily similar to the drunken lunatic that won't go away. The kind of guy that is bouncing from person to person looking for an opening to spew his nonsense while waiting for anything he can latch on to to take offence at.

His interviews have long been a joke. He just chats absolute bollocks and the journalists there just sit and nod their heads.

It's like an episode of kitchen nightmares when Gordan Ramsay goes in tastes the awful food and berates the chef/owner who is in complete denial and won't accept reality

Well, Bournemouth did beat us earlier in the season, so maybe he does believe that BFC would have an easier time winning the title than MUFC
