I think its just because our club isn't feeding anyone with any information whatsoever. The Sunday supplement on skysports even admitted to knowing feck all, and said our club's silence could mean our LVG stance is "the best kept secret". There are a lot of posts pointing to the inability of our board to make sound decisions, however in the recent past (ie not dating back from Moyes) I don't think that's the case.
If we had sacked LVG at Christmas I'm not sure who we could've got that would do much better, assuming Mourinho prefers to start work in the summer (as per the reports and tone of his interviews). The lack of silence may prove to be a testament to our club's secrecy which is much improved from the Moyes era. Put it this way, if LVG wasn't really out the door and we wanted him to stay, or that Ed actually loves LVG like some posts suggest - do you not think we'd put out a statement that his job is safe? Even when the journos were really going at it? Our silence speaks volumes.. I don't think we need any extra stuff from Journo's to know that LVG's job is unsafe.
Moreover, some big wins (City, Arsenal, staying in the FA Cup etc) have bought LVG more time with the media before they start the LVGOUT headlines again.
