Still hilarious that he sold all our strikers (except Rooney) and ends up with Young and Fellaini playing there at different times this season. Madness.

Meanwhile the one striker we do buy he keeps on the wing.
What's just as Hilarious is him selling Kagawa, Di Maria, RvP and Nani. Then playing Lingard in the 10 role, Mata on the right, and Young up top, whilst complaining that we need fast wingers. Knob.

We will draw 0-0 with Villa and he will be happy cos we didnt lose to a team battling for their lives.
We will lose to West Ham and he will talk about how it took a replay to lose and had a day less rest.
We will draw at home to Leicester and say how they are the champions so we did well to give them a game.

On the day Chicharito hits 25 for the season, Van Gaal plays Young as a striker. Utter moron.

I think it's fair to give Van Gaal a break today, nobody expected three points from this game, and we didn't shock by not delivering.

Spurs are the best team we've faced this season, that's my opinion. Defensively sound and high pressure in attack, make no mistake we were playing at our defensive best to keep them out.

I refuse to blame LVG for today, what I do blame him for is the state of our squad. There wasn't a Spurs player I wouldn't have at United today. I'm sorry to say, that's just not right.

Not sure if serious given Lamela should have given them the lead and DDG saved quite a few after some slack defending.
But he really didnt help himself by having:
DM as CB
CB as LB
#10 as RWB or whatever
Right winger as #10
Striker as LW
Winger as Striker.

I genuinley think the short corners were instructions from LVG with simply the fear of Spurs breaking on us.

Fair enough try and stop the opposition but the only way he knows how is to concede any chance of scoring yourself and pray Martial comes up with something. Then when they do score, the floodgates open. Utterly shocking tactics from Van Gaal today. As glaringly poor as it has been from him. People can clearly see a managers foothold in that game and how it went awfully wrong.

The complete opposite to many occasions with Mouriniho and big games. If he does something like play a midfielder upfront you are usually in awe after the game when you can clearly see how it worked. Van Gaap you just knew it was bullshit and would backfire. This man is a disease and the fact he is still here is the biggest farce in Football history.

Those corners are fecking cash though, we have like 5+ corners per match (I remember one when we've had 8) and we score feck all from them. It's like we don't even train this shit on the training ground, it stinks of El Fraudo's 'it's just like 3 corners per match lol' logic.

He is an absolute joke of a manager. You could write a computer program to randomly generate our tactics and we wouldn't be any worse off.

We sold RvP, Chicha, Di Maria, Nani and Kagawa for this... I feel like crying
I would add rafael and welbeck too

Even the likes of Evans who is twice the defender than Rojo is and would probably be able to challenge Blind for first choice

Also as conterversial as it would sound Darren Fletcher would have offered far more than Bastian has this season

Are you kidding me?

In the 2nd half we lined up Young at CF, Martial and Mata on the wing, and Lingaard at the 10? That means every single attacking player was played out of position.

If we are not blaming LVG for that today who are we blaming?

Throw in the point we do agree that he sold all those other attackers and this mess is completely his fault be it today or any other day.

who is to blame then , he is playing , player out of position all over the pitch and is clueless when it come to making subs.

I don't like the fact that LVG apparently has no idea that his replacement has been lined up. For two reasons: 1) It could mean there is no replacement lined up, and 2) it indicates a way of running the club I find questionable at best.

Personally, I want a chairman and owners who assess the performance of the manager and his potential for improvement and success, both short-term and long-term. I don't want a chairman and owners who keep or ditch based on a save-a-buck principle or some sort of pure technicality. And I don't want owners who keep the manager in the dark about their intentions.

Moyes was seemingly fired because he failed to qualify for the CL. He may have lost the players to some degree, but what has come to light in the aftermath hasn't revealed any large scale riot. The players didn't positively turn on him as a group, forcing him out (and the same is true for LVG, it would appear).

It was a technical matter by the looks of it – he simply failed to qualify, and was let go the moment this became clear. And yet he maintains to this day that he was surprised. Which is odd, to say the least. People have used this as further evidence that Moyes is the greatest fool in history, but to me it's slightly more problematic than that. Either he's shamelessly lying about something Woody could call him out on at any moment – or he's telling the truth: He didn't realize that he'd be fired if he failed to get 4th. That's sensationally poor communication, whether Moyes is a fool or not.

Honestly if we were offered backsies on all of those players for the shite we have brought in I would snap your hand off. Martial and Shaw the only ones I'd keep. Otherwise I'd quite happily return the lot of them for RVP, Nani, Rafael, Evra, Chicha and the likes.

Good post, agree with everything you said.

To be fair, LvG could have Ronaldo and Messi and still only get 6 each out of them

We will more than likely not reach 50 league goals this season.

To put that into perspective, we've scored three more than Sunderland on 36. A quick look shows that the closest number in the Premier League era was 58 in 04/05, and the final total will more closely resemble the 46 scored back in 89/90 when United finished 13th.

Nevertheless, a 3-0 win against Villa and it will be back to the nonsensical "does he deserve another season?!" rhetoric, because some people can't resist indulging in the idea that they see the bigger picture that others don't.

I agree that today's result wasn't a shock, but LVG is a major reason why.

Love to see most of our players actually smile and interact with the fans when signing things, instead of looking depressed. Also can't help but love van Gaal's demeanour when its not connected to the football on the pitch.

That's yer deadwood that some fecking morons on here keep praising van Gaal for in letting them go last season! Part of his rebuilding for the future, which makes him better than Moyes cause at least he has a plan! Morons!

Anyway, I'm sick of these Van Gaal Out threads cause we'll lose to West Ham, then beat Villa 15-0 and he'll be the best thing since sliced bread again!

I really can't take another season of the worst manager we've had in a very long time! Right now, I would be happy to sacrifice top 4 (not that it guarantees anything anyway apart from a few European games next season) if it meant he was to definitely get the boot.

We'll probably end up in 6th anyway. Arsenal were lucky against the Hammers and they will turn us over twice more before the season's over.

Aston Villa are fighting for their lives in the same way a coma patient is competing in a triathlon.

Also, we'll lose to them.

I dont have their contact details.

Seriously though, i know we've just lost a game but to insinuate the club is forver doomed is so Emo.

As long as this group of executives is in charge, I think it's a fairly good bet that we're going nowhere but down with it. We can pin all of the blame on LVG - and he deserves a lot of it - but there is currently no accountability or standards that you would expect from a club that likes to think of itself as top-level or 'world class.' ATM we're on a level with Kim Kardashian - money, money, and money, no brains or substance. Absolutely no sense of direction, no fecking spine. Players like Blind should've been crawled off embarrassed today with that performance and they're busy having a chat afterwards with the opposition.

Now everybody is on their knees praying for Jose to come and I guess we're going to part the river and welcome another coming of Christ, just like we all threw our hats into the air when LVG came. Meanwhile the same idiots are in their offices, who have watched over this whole debacle and done nothing. Mourinho might get us a cup or CL bid, but he is just a patch job on what I think is a severely tainted culture at this club.

So forgive me for my negativity and the belief that our club is being dragged through the muck because of the gobshites who are in positions of leadership.

Fergie should have got rid of Rooney before he left, we shouldn't have bought Mata and Fellaini (should have got Strootman). Them 4 would produce more exciting football than all we've seen under LVG and with RVP, Martial, Januzaj and Pereira on the bench that would be some attacking unit. Hate to see the direction the club has gone, the job post Fergie was a lot easier than people believe.

Chicharito
RVP
Rashford
Nani............Shinji..........Angel
Martial
.......Pereira.......Adnan
Kevin.........Herrera
Carrick......Bastian
Goss......................

4 attacking player we had to buy over 3 seasons

‘Van Gaal treated us all like kids, it was crazy’

...

Tellingly, Nani’s critique of Van Gaal is echoed by players who replaced him at United and some who remained. One of the 64-year-old’s most expensive signings talks of a “coach who could destroy any player’s confidence”. Van Gaal's results, his style of play are so far divorced from Ferguson-era United – still not three years in passing – it's absurd.

He keeps talking about the Martial miss as if getting that one chance was the plan all along and Martial ballsed it up for him. We created nothing, Martial did that on his own and going on about him missing it instead of praising him for being the only one that managed to create anything seems to sum up his man management skills.

In his world, one chance = we played well and should've won.
