That makes the assumption he cares what we do on the pitch. Lets face it, United is run by the money-men now. None of them care as long as we're successful off the pitch and with the number of commercial deals we churn out we clearly are.

Watching United is just really really depressing at the moment, even moreso because you know nothing is going to change - i personally would not be shocked if we kept LvG for next season

I know what you are saying and it feels like that but the reality is our performance is tightly linked to earnings, even the adidas deal, we will take a hit on that if we don't get CL next season on top of not earning CL money you are looking at the guts of possibly £100m, given that you have to think there are contractual stipulations here, either we have to pay a wad to LVG to sack him or mourinho had something in his severance with chelsea where he could not manager in the PL for the rest of this season, next year is critical to qualify for the CL, I cannot see the club trusting LVG or Giggs to do that it is too risky.

he is here until June. then gone for sure. pointless to speculate about him being sacked before that.

Yes. He's a serial killer who's left a trail of blood and body parts in his wake. If the club police have averted their eyes from this rampage up to now, they're not about to notice the death of the next victim.

We're stuck with him until the end of the season. Unless he's got some kind of Champions League qualification clause in his contract? But surely Woodward wouldn't be stupid enough to tie his own hands with that again? Or would he?

Rojo didn't make any contact on Payet, so Payet should have had a second yellow for diving. As for our goal, one of the West Ham defenders gave Schweinsteiger a push which led him to falling into the keeper.

Ah right, couldn't see from my seat but looked like he pulled out if it alright. The boys were saying Webb said penalty and a card after seeing multiple replays, just had me wondering, he compared it to the penalty Benteke "earned" against Palace where the defender pulled out but still clipped him with his knee or whatever

If we win every match for the rest of the year then he might be able to stay but we all know that will never happen.

The reality is we will not will the Europa league, or get top 4. We could win the FA cup and it's sad to say but it's kinda meaningless. I want us to win and it would be nice for lvg to win something before he's out his summer.

I can't see anyway he's our coach in August.

How is this clown still in his job?

Seriously wish I could be this inept and paid millions of pounds a year... :wenger:.

One of the few jobs you can fail in, and get paid off! Most jobs If you were rubbish you'd be sacked and even have the risk of being sued depending on the level if negligence!
Then you'd struggle to get a new job.

Yet the failed manager will easily stroll into another

If we were playing the way we did against ars at home, promoting loads of youths and winning occasionally in style I would have no issue with it, even if we were in the same position in the league, you expect inconsistency with young players, it's just a pile of shite, he is contradicting everything positive he ever said from the moment he got here, what is keeping him in a job is unknown but probably contractual somewhere along the line so we have to put up with this for the rest of the season.

Next two games could be brutal for him (and us), but he just keeps stumbling on, and no doubt will continue to do so.

He's a lingering stink, LVG. Just as soon as it looks like he's finally done enough damage to piss off the board, he pulls an average result out of his arse and lives on.

Atleast with Moyes he was coping and almost learning on the job and you could hope somehow it would go upwards.

With this clown you know he won't change or adapt and it's not for the lack of experience at this level even plus he's had 250 million and 2 seasons. Also he wasn't dealing with colossus like SAF leaving on top directly.

Moyes should actually be out having digs at Woody over this.

Relieved to be in the draw?
I was very happy because, when you see the spirit of my team, it's unbelievable. When you lose a game against Liverpool, it's very deep in the club and all the players know that, and then you have to play within a few days against West Ham. They're a very good team and have fully prepared for this game for one week. We have to recover within two days and then are 1-0 behind so then, coming back like that, it's fantastic. I'm very happy for my players. I think also the fans have enjoyed this game and I think that's important.

View of the equaliser and Dimitri Payet's penalty shout
I have seen the video, of course, and I think Schweinsteiger gets a push from a defender so he did not do it deliberately [impede goalkeeper Darren Randolph]. Payet was, more or less, diving. Of course, he was maybe touched but not to fall like that. There is always discussion about the decisions of the referee. You can also say that about the game against Liverpool. I cannot say anything. I think the referee has to decide within seconds. I said that after the game against Liverpool and now it's the same.

Schweinsteiger influence
I think he did fantastically but, of course, he played 50 minutes and 90 minutes is different. I was very happy with him and also with Matteo Darmian. He has played only three minutes coming off the bench and onto the pitch because I wanted to make another change. He did well also when he had to come on. I have given a lot of compliments to my players.

Crowd reaction to Fellaini substitution

I think [Marouane] Fellaini played, again, a good match. He performed well in our game-plan so that [the crowd reaction] was disappointing but it was the only moment that I was disappointed. The fans were supporting our side in spite of two losses this week. Maybe they have another opinion to me.

:wenger:

my suspicion, or hope, is that mourinho has a clause of not joining another premier legue club this season and there are non other candidates at the moment that can fill LVG's shoes. and that's why are keeping this senile fraud in charge despite being in horrendous form.

Even if he goes, the squad is in such disarray we're in trouble for years.

I swear this situation comes down to one major decision. David Moyes fired the coaching staff which would have ensured consistency, at least for a few years, while Moyes learned how to not be a terrible manager. But being a terrible manager he sacked them. We've had moments, but for the most part we haven't stopped stumbling since.

At this point I'm so tired of seeing his face and hearing his excuses that I want him gone even if it doesn't improve our performances that much. Bugger off.

I agree it's probably contractual but do United not have a competent PR department? In other words, at the moment it's let's look like clowns for 4 months to the whole word while disillusioning our global fan base, but at least we'll save 3/4 million...

He will be here this time next year anyway, don't get your hopes up. Results do not matter.

Personally, I did not. Relieved that we are still in the competition, yes. But securing a 1-1 draw against West Ham at Old Trafford is not an accomplishment and is not enjoyable.

Some real muppets running the club, how Van Gaal still continue after this week is beyond me, he's untouchable. Saying he was very happy with the way we played the fans enjoyed it, He doesn't even care anymore, he's a WUM.

It could be that there is a contractual pay off if he is sacked before he cannot mathematically get 4th or CL qualification via EL, if that is the case the board had a decision to make in the new year, give him an expensive handshake hire someone else who will guarantee the CL money which would negate that decision, or trust him to turn it around which they clearly did and it has not worked, next year we HAVE to get CL, if we don't, not only will we be down the CL revenue but we will also get less money from adidas, that could be as much as £100m combined, that has to be a factor in a hiring a new manager, we need to hit the ground running.

Criticises the crowd's reaction towards Fellaini yet says he played well when he lost the ball more than anyone else on the pitch.

Says the team showed "unbelievable" spirit and that the fans enjoyed the game - absolute horseshit.

Never stops complaining about injuries and the fact we're playing more games both in Europe and domestically, yet says things are working out because we're still in 3 competitions. If, God forbid, he stays next season, he'd be delighted with the fact we won't even be playing in the Europa League so he'd have more time to "prepare" the team.

He's talking as if we've beaten West Ham 3-0 with some incredible performance that has sent the fans home happy. Reminds me of that wrestler DDP's "that's not a bad thing, it's a good thing" gimmick back in the days.

"Maybe they have another opinion to me" - no shit, c*nto.

That must be the case. Although I seriously worry about our Board if they thought he could turn it around after December. To most observers, it looked like he had gone past the point of no return.

Hes going to start Fellaini against Liverpool and ruin any chances and hopes we have of a slight possibility of a comeback.

See with the new TV deal is it really that big of a loss?

this guy is slowly destroying our club with each passing week. standards have been already lowered to no end and this will continue as long as he's in charge.

back in december I said keeping him for the remainder of the season was going to make this season a write off and sadly I'm being proven right.

Van Gaal is the quintessential 5 inch man. Yeah, it's just about enough to get the job done, sometimes; but you're unlikely to make anyone consistently enjoy the experience.
