9 more games of this shit then hopefully it's done, I long for the day I sit down to a Man Utd match with no LvG or Giggs in sight.

Do we get a 'sack him at the end of the season' vote?

After that crap on Sunday, and as much as I like LVG as a person, he surely needs to go at the end of the season, as it's clear he's not going to work out in anyway for us. Even if by some miracle we ended up winning the Europa League (I don't believe that will happen mind) - I'd still part with him at the end of the season. The inconsistency has gotten to me. The lack of fight and urgency - I wonder how the hell we prepare for games? I want LVG and all coaching staff out.
Never known a United team to have such shit mentality.

I thought he would be sacked as soon as top four was mathematically impossible but I think he will see the season out now before retiring or leaving by mutual consent.

Either of the first two options is basically that. Those who want him out immediately know that he won't be sacked until the end of the season and those that put 'evaluate' at the end of the season probably just mean 'sack' anyway.

It does seem that we have an agreement with Mourinho starting in the summer. This is the only logical explanation for still having LVG as a manager.

I don't see us having anything in place with anyone. If Mourinho was locked in, why wouldn't we just sack LvG now and give the keys to Giggs for the outstanding fixtures.

Because Giggs doesn't want job on interim basis - permanent or nothing.

Didn't watch the game but that West Brom defeat is huge. Looks as if we didn't play too well and it's hard to not take the red card into account but a win on Sunday would have done us wonders. Top 4 is now dead and buried for me. Mathematically of course not - but the fact we fail to be able to string a consistent line of wins together before faultering again is just too much for us.

Such a shame.

Imagine if Giggs has only wins for the rest of the season and he also wins the two cups. What would happen then? A lot of people would be asking for Giggs to remain.

On the other hand, image the opposite. Giggs loses all the games. His career would be in tatters. Nobody would want him back in the future.

Of course, these two possibilities are the two extremes, but you can see that it isn't a simple decision.

It felt very deflating. Stark contrast to how we played again Midgetland/Arsenal. The players just really didn't seem up for it. I wonder did they go in dreading having to face Pulis' shit on a stick football and just didn't fancy it.

I'd laugh if van Gaal got a third season at United. Should have been sacked halfway through this season.

I'll cry.

These reports mean nothing to me. The rags have been predicting or reporting he'll be sacked after a loss to this team or that team. Still the manager. Then it was Jose has a pre-contract. What the feck is a pre-contract? I guess a contract before it's signed is always a pre-contract. Now that the rags are bored and we lost Sunday, they report LVG will stay a 3rd season just to wind up fans because they all know how we feel and they got nothing credible to go on.

If I were a betting man I'd put money on LVG not being the manager next season regardless of our position in the table or whether we win any cups.

See the City/Pep possible implosion argument. Probably money as well, if he has a failure clause in his contract where it significantly reduces his payout then I would hazard we would do a similar thing to Moyes. Give LVG the chance to sort it all out again before we pull the trigger. At the end of the day, if we sneak fourth and win a cup then it is not a complete failure of a season.

I don't see why Mourinho coming in at the end of the year couldn't result in a cosmetic shuffle of Van Gaal into the background to tie up any loose ends he's working on behind the scenes before he leaves during (or after) what would have been his final season. But I am speculating heavily, in my opinion they've said to Mourinho "we have first dibbs on you if Van Gaal fails and he's sacked". Almost like a handshake agreement type thing.

Van Gaal "happy" to be in the Europa league and tells fans they "live in the past" if they aren't.

Ok, when is he going?!

Show me the quotes. I refuse to believe a Manchester United manager would ever say that especially one that has managed Barcelona and Bayern Munich, thus fully understanding the expectations of the club. It would be plain disrespectful to everyone associated with the club, the legacy built by SAF and especially the expectant fanbase.

Van Gaal press conf - and he's not accepting that MUFC and LFC have 'fallen' playing in Europa League. "You live in the past,' he says - Daniel Taylor

LVG says MU are "happy" to be playing in the Europa League - Paul Hirst

They are in the press conference thread for tomorrows game.

I don't believe they will keep with him, not getting worked up about these shit articles, we're doing worse this season in statistics and points than the Moyes season, yea, we're actually WORSE, and we all know what happened. We'll miss CL qualification and he'll be binned similarly.

Not sure what i am most afraid of, LvG one more year in charge of United, or Donald Trump in charge of USA.
Too close to call.
