Considering changing my vote to extension after that display!
Nah, just kidding. I'm not Woody.

Is there even one person on the site who's voiced such an opinion or desire? Some people want to keep him because we beat Midgetland who are widely acknowledged to be the worst side left in the competition?
When sacking managers, people should not be yoyoing in their decisions.
I waited until the disastrous December to state that I want him out. If he beats Midgetland and a League One side, this won't change my mind.
He will need to have a brilliant run-in from here on in, to change my mind.
For the record I think we are in for one heck of a spanking when we play Arsenal.
I've wanted him out a few games into his tenure last season.
Same here. I can't believe it's got to a point where the standards he's measured against are so low that he is praised for picking basically the only 11 available.
Wanted him out ever since we lost to Wolfsburg and nothing has changed.
The last week has been papering over cracks. We are supposed to beat these teams. The standards have dropped so low that we see these wins as some sort of miracles.
The idea of giving youth a chance is just a myth, we have no one else to play. How many of these youth players got a chance when our squad was big last season?. Promoting youth is different to playing them out of compulsion.
Anyone who actually watches the youth team will see LVG's stamp or over their style for better or worse.
Some people just cannot give him credit. He is a club builder. He knows the team has underperformed and it may cost him his job but he has done some things well.
The youth players being able to step up and so well is no accident.

This is a little unfair, it isnt last night he showed faith in youth - as you said, he had no choice. It was when he sold senior players and didnt replace them that he showed faith in youth. Having to bring through a few youngsters here and there to cover certain positions was practically inevitable with our squad being what it is. OK he may be surprised by the gravity of the injury crisis we've had and he may not have expected to have to play so many of them at the same time but he has been in management long enough to know it was possible we would find ourselves in something close to this situation, bringing a few up at the same time.Wanted him out ever since we lost to Wolfsburg and nothing has changed.

Or not playing with a striker at all.Honestly, last night was a very good example of why a part of me does want to keep him. I mean, don't get me wrong, I'll be back to accepting change is needed when Arsenal destroy us, but I do like that we have a manager whose response to his two main forwards being out is to play some eighteen year old I've never heard of, rather than just sticking a senior player out of position.
Isn't that terribly modern and exciting (absolutely a load of shite but Barca and Spain have done it so we pretend it's clever rather than idiotic and negative)?.Or not playing with a striker at all.

If I do a raindance every day and for weeks and weeks and weeks it's sunny outside, I wouldn't expect credit if it did eventually rain on a Thursday evening.
He's a fraud and has to go.... should have gone months ago.
Man Utd didn't have a full bench lastnite. Let that sink in. We only had 4 subs.... at home.
He bemoans his small squad - which is his own doing - & revels in bringing through 'the youth' when in actual fact, he has no other option.
Last week he cited having to start Romero as a bad thing, but went on to praise him when the interviewer said he'd made good saves. The man is like a flying piece of turd that will stick to any surface in it's way.
I'm happy that we beat a team 60 league places below us, followed by beating a team that beat us last week despite not having played a competitive game since 10th December & the team itself being almost 2 years younger than our goal-scoring debutant. I'm am happy.... but I fully expected to be happy.
The barometer will be Sunday, not Thursday.
Well, Sir Alex done it as well, with Rooney and Tevez as wingers and Ronaldo as a false 9 that drifted wide rather than deep, and he only pinched the idea from Roma.... That's the bones of a decade ago now.Isn't that terribly modern and exciting (absolutely a load of shite but Barca and Spain have done it so we pretend it's clever rather than idiotic and negative)?.

Not going to disagree as I want him gone as well, but what did you see in those first few games that turned you off LVG? Very curious.I've wanted him out a few games into his tenure last season.

Oh no.
a result against a league 1 team and a good performance against Europe's worst teams and we're flying high and want to keep hold of van Gaal and his philosophy.
He's anti - football. I would guess the only reason we played exciting football is that he hasn't got round to dulling the abilities of the youngsters yet.
this us a man who things 80% possession is a reult and goals are just flukey things that can happen in a game.
Bang on. I genuinely hope he gets brought back to earth with a bang tomorrow at OT.... Not hoping we get beat, but hope other fans join me in showing their discontent at the state of our club thanks to that arrogant prick and the inept board.
How do you hope to express this discontent?
How do you hope to express this discontent?
By making faces when we score a goal.
Oh that's right.... I forgot OT was awash with Utd goals this season. We don't play Shrewsbury & Midtjylland every week you know.
Lighten up. Do as you please. And not sure many if any thinks we have turned it around. He will be gone in the summer with Jose coming in.
I've sort of wanted him out when I found out Di Maria left because of him (among other reasons). When I read that I knew there was trouble on the horizon.
A tip for LVG - It might be something to do with City not crashing out of the CL and being able to go smash Kiev away 3 days later. His press conference yesterday he blames the media for making his results seem bad?! He pointed to city losing 5-1 by putting a youth team out and the media let it slide.
Was the same for me very early on. Showed that he had no idea about the Premier league, trying to force a 3-5-2 onto us and selling players with pace (before later complaining he didn't have any). For me 3-5-2 was too much
