This is one of the worst United sides I've ever seen. Wouldn't shock me at all if we become the next Liverpool.

Every decision post-Ferguson has been amateur.

Negativity in the Lingard thread. Negativity in the Carrick thread. Smalling thread. Memphis thread. Herrera thread. Schneiderlein thread. Rooney thread.

Either all of our players have forgotten how to play football, or there's a common denominator.

I have some sympathy for Woodward's position, or at least I did, giving a manager time to turn this around isn't the worst idea in the world. As relegation teams have often found out, changing manager doesn't guarantee you better results.

But surely he has to admit we're not turning anything around? We're getting worse. If we play like this against Shrewsbury we'll probably lose.

I really don't know what it's going to take for Woodward to sack him. Or maybe Mourinho doesn't want to come and neither does Poch, so we actually have no options.
Mourinho would wank himself silly if he got the job. We are still a huge club and he would love to get us back to where we belong. It is another matter if we are actually interested cause the noodles and toilet flush sponsorships are still coming in.

He won't go because of this. Board probably don't give a shit about the Europa League.

This isn't Van Gaal anymore.

This is Woodward. This is the Glazers.

This is sheer apathy from those with the power at United.

he's building a foundation all right... foundation for our first foray into the 2nd division since mid 70s.

I'm far more angry at Woodward and the board at this point. He should have been sacked 2 months ago. All we get is cowardly radio silence with Van Gaal a lame duck manager.

Surely this is the final straw, I mean it's got to be the end of this Cnut and his little yes man next to him

Lost to Bournemouth, Norwich, Sunder and now this lot.

Just sack him. There is no conceivable way that Giggs as interim could be anymore disastrous than this.

I hope we get thrashed. He needs to be humiliated to the point his position is untenable. This season is a write off so if a few losses quicken his departure, I'm all for it.

It could easily be just as bad. But at least it would trying something to turn it around.

I can't believe some of you still can still manage to believe this, one awful result after another.

Nah he is here till the end of the season. If we was going to sack him it would have happened by now.

One of his biggest crimes was not realising quickly that he had a set of average-poor players, and treating them as such.

To a lesser extent, he's basically doing what Martinez did at Wigan - acting as if sub-par players can play Barcelona passing possession football if you try for long enough.

It would be like Aston Villa's manager failing to realise his shower of crap couldn't open teams up with possession football, and persisting with it.

He should be treating them like the limited footballers they are. "Keep it simple and run a lot!"

The only way he's not going to be manager until we're mathematically out of the CL race is if something outside of footballing circumstances happen to him or his health. He's here till the end of the season at least.
