well do remember the likes of Arsenal and Man city are also in the FA cup. No more likely to win FA cup with that ration...
Dortmund is a much better side then Arsenal or City, but anyway, winning the europa league is great, but it also means that you failed in the champions league earlier in the season so there's always that black mark on it. Of course, I'd love for us to win it, but it's unlikely we will with LvG. Much better odds of winning the FA cup I think.

Most Derby players earn 8-10k a week.

We got some United kids earning more than that.

winning it also means not having to finish 4th which we currently are on track for

Game by game, I guess. I think judgement day is closer than we think. Stoke and Chelsea are important games for LvG (De Ja Vu), win them both and we could be seeing some progress, lose and I think he'll be gone. Too many false dawns this year, with neither the Swansea and Liverpool wins being used to build momentum.

It's a good job the away support weren't as negative, eh?

Don't worry the home fans will be on Tuesday.....

Look I hate the guy, and Derby were woeful, I'm a just realist, or a negative ba***rd which ever you prefer.

If we produce that against Stoke on Tuesday then maybe I'll see the light, but he has a tendency of chucking in a good performance at precisely the right moment, only to follow it up with the usual rubbish.

Not at all. I will happily admit it's been tough this season but any FA Cup game can be difficult. Any PL team would be delighted with that result tonight.

I guess LvG can't win, even when he wins.

For me, winning isn't everything. Watching good football is. I wouldn't be in the #LVGout camp if he brought good football to United, even if it means mixed FT results.

I had to wade deep into the dark tunnel of LVG football for 1.5 seasons already, 2-3 games isn't going to show me the light at the end of the tunnel.

He should have been sacked before the game but with him still here, he's earned another game. It's pointless though, we're all just waiting for those two or three poor results on the run that forces Ed to finally pull the trigger.

Really glad we won even if it does prolong the inevitable. Slight improvement against an out of form Championship side but still you can only best whats in front of you.

I guess you weren't happy with the last few seasons under Fergie then? Because that football was pretty dull for the majority, and this place was in agreement. If you think Pep or Jose or whoever you think will come in and give players the ability to make simple passes or decisions, which they have been unable to do for years, then you make sure you leave space on the back of your LvG out banner for the next managers name.

I have seen some dull football under Fergie but in comparison to what I've seen this past 1.5 seasons, it was as if I was watching Barcelona.

Needs this to go out on a high. FA cup and top 4 would represent one hell of a turn around and i think he'd consider walking away and retiring with his dignity back.

Surely you cant be as myopic to think this one decent performance (against Derby!) will make up for how terrible the football pitch has been on the pitch for a long time now?

This.

What people called dull football under Fergie was wingers pulling it back for Van Persie to score 30+ times.

You literally can't compare LVGs philosophy to Fergie's style.

Standard two victories, followed by a draw and a defeat, coming up.

Sick to death of it, happy he's got the victory tonight but it changes nothing for me.

I find this obsession with what he's writing in his notebook really weird. Of all the imconsequential things to focus on about a busted flush.

It's just bizarre, did he do he the same at previous clubs? I don't think so but I could be wrong.

As far as I can recall, I've never fallen asleep when watching a Fergie side. It was always sweaty palms, pacing the room, yelling at the TV. When the team was behind, I always felt that a comeback was possible, as remote as the scores sometimes allowed. The players were attacking attacking attacking. Fergie was on the touchline doing his thing.

The result tonight changes nothing for me and I still want him out. We need to build on this win, not fold as soon as we come up against rubbish like Stoke. But we've been here many times before.

We defeated Derby! LVG is a hero, may he receive a 10 year extension and an open bus parade!

Please don't kill me!

Some of the post match comments floating about from him allegedly are really funny.

Acting very defiant after beating a struggling Derby.
