Well that's it..lve changed my vote

Look at what you have down to me Woodward
I have change my vote twice these last few days, from evaluate to sack now - and back to the evaluate one - because he has offered to resign, it is a shame it did not work out but better than being sacked. I always hoped he would turn it around but it was not to be

Seeing tweets quoting Sky Sports in saying that LVG is taking training today and Woodward isn't even in Manchester, he's back in London. Looks like the whole thing is bullshit yet again.

Back to square one.
Well he best fire up that chopper then.

Yep, according to Sky he's back taking training, and him offering to resign was bullshit. Business as usual by the looks of it.

One thing's for sure, if he isn't gone today then he won't be gone until the end of the season.
I am certain it will end today/this week, with all these rumours it is simply not possible for him to continue any more - he will not manage another game for us

I feel the rumours were stronger last time if I'm honest. This time there just doesn't seem to be the same intensity, and according to Sky it is business as usual today for us...sigh.

He isn't going anytime soon, unfortunately. I have given up hope. This horrible season is somehow being deemed as acceptable.

How would anyone know if he's taking training? He might be at Carrington but training doesn't start until later. He has to clear our his desk at some point..

The rumours were never of he having resigned multiple times though, was it? All the papers were saying he needs to go, he will go etc. This time it is undermining his position badly by leaking the fact that he has offered to resign and been asked to think over it. Also the Woodward players meeting did not happen last time round. The dressing room will have been lost by this time. I really hoped he would fix things and retire on a high, but this is an impossible situation to continue in

If these rumors about him offering to resign true and we're insisting he stay then our club is fecked. What more do people need? The man's given up himself.

I hope you are right.

I just don't understand how it serves any purpose to refuse LvG to resign. Like. Why? One thing is a fully motivated Lvg (and we've all seen how that turned out), another thing is a LvG who don't even want to be in charge and have realized that his philisophy has failed him.

Let him go, Ed. Let him go.

There would be no point him taking training in the morning if he's to get sacked later in the day. We're stuck lads.

Actually those rumours did come out last time too, saying that he'd tried to resign but Woodward said to carry on. This is the third time it's reportedly happened in the last couple of months.

We're not becoming Liverpool; we're becoming Arsenal - fans' anger being ignored as much as possible; money and pride being first priorities; and under-achievement being acceptable. A club held hostage by individuals.

Not necessarily, he could have changed his mind and is carrying on or he could be there to say goodbye to the team for all we know.

We're in the dark on this until the club speaks. I'm just hoping someone will use the line "the process has come to an end"

Feck pride, pride gets in the way of profits. Why have pride when you can exchange it for an official burger sauce provider?

Let's hope so, as you say we know nothing.

Where does this idea that Woody is thinking of his own ass by keeping him in the job come from? Doesn't it reflect just as poorly on his decision making that his chosen manager is an abject failure? And even more so by sticking with said failure.

Imagine offering to resign because you yourself feel you're too shit at your job, only for your boss to tell you not to. I'd probably think my boss was even more of an idiot than me.

The only way I can make sense of Woodward trying to persuade LvG to stay (not once, but twice) is that he know's we're getting a better manager (Pep) in at the end of the season. That way he doesn't have to risk putting Giggs in charge where he may fall flat on his face, or do so well that it would seem callous to oust him in the Summer.

MASSIVE wishful thinking here. My honest assessment of the situation is mostly that Ed's a downright lunatic.
