Our second string should be well able to cope against a newly promoted team. There are more than enough experienced players on the pitch anyway. The problem is sitting on our bench.
I'm not disagreeing regarding where the problem lies but the point I was trying to make is that the 'problem', should have known the players in question were likely to get injured, so again it's just a complete shambles on his part.

Has the Moyes feel about the place. Starting to look like we can lose any game.

I'm not a fan of Fellaini, however, he's been the biggest threat in this game. He's now taken off.

His substitutions are absolutely baffling.

Beginning to lose faith in him. Our last 5 results in the league and Europe have been shocking. Out of Europe, three league games without a win, and what was looking a decent season is spiralling into a 4th place rat race again, as it was last season.

We're winning possession stat lads. That counts as progress in LvG's philosophy.

We won't finish in the top4 with him as a manager this season.

Why do people even back him? Name one reason except that there is no one to replace him because I can't find a single reason to back him.
Because they want to take the moral high ground. "We're not a sacking club! We're better than that!"

Since the Everton game...

12 Games played:

Moscow x 2
City
Palace
Middelesbrough
West Brom
Watford
PSV
Leicester
West Ham
Wolfsburg
Bournemouth

Goals - 10
Wins - 3

He has to go.

Oh and our next run of fixtures are a lot harder then the previous 12

Norwich
Stoke x 2
Chelsea x 2
Swansea
Newcastle
Liverpool
Southampton
Arsenal

His stubbornness is a massive problem. He needs to pick the obvious teams and make the obvious substitions instead of trying to prove everyone wrong with left-field picks like Varela and Powell.

The list of things he's done wrong is becoming quite long. It'll be the end of him sooner rather than later. I don't really have any faith in him turning it around, though. You can't teach a stubborn old dog new tricks.

That is appalling.

One constant complaint I have about our tactics is the massive gap between the forwards and the defenders. It just leaves the centre backs having to thump it up long. The players are too far apart to support each other so we rely on long balls and individual skill to score. It's a very weird interpretation of possession football.

It does my head in how he just sits on the bench all the time. I like to see a manager in the technical area communicating with the team when the chips are down. But he just sits there like a lemon.

We can rightly blame injuries/bad luck for this as well, but it was his decision to cut the squad up so much. Fault lands on him

Chicharito has scored two goals tonight for Leverkusen. Sad isn't it.
p.s. three goals.

Never even given a chance by LVG.

Feels like Moyes all over again now, the club will hang on far to long before getting rid. To have spent 250m and be playing the kind of football we play regardless of injuries is disgraceful.

Cut him loose now!

I am trying to convince myself that the shite we are watching is because of all the injuries but I just can't.

So tired of us struggle every week. Win or lose, its always a struggle.

Even with a full strength side ever game is a massive struggle.

That's his system. Players have to wait for others to find them rather than coming close to get the ball. I found it odd when I heard that given I thought you'd want to be closer together, but I suppose it's worked for him before. But I don't understand why it's supposed to make sense.

And besides, we have enough talent up front to do better than this shite we're watching now. It's just so poor.

He'll more than likely go at the end of the season, or before if results keep going crap, but gets tiresome when people bump these threads. Yes, we know, it's all a bit crap at the moment. But he isn't getting sacked.
