As great as this game has been, this also plays into Van Gaal's hands in that we conceded 2 and are giving way plenty of decent chances/openings

No, but it is his fault that he could not tell our team to be more composed after going two goals up. It is ironic that he lauds possession football and after going two goals up, he could not impliment that philosophy when it is most needed.

Erm, you mean the players could not. Not his fault they are a bunch of tactical Neanderthals?!

I didn't take my anger out on Lingard by substituting the kid.

I didn't think it was a fair reaction.

You mean substituting him 10 minutes later when he looks knackered?

More points dropped against total shite. It's really a great turnaround

Its bollocks. We should be able to both attack and defence. It shouldn't have to be an "either or" thing... it's pathetic from him that he is seemingly unable to do anything about it.

West Ham above us

But this is really frustrating. This is the second draw that'll oddly take the pressure off him

Can't keep a lead against Newcastle. Oh dear.

I actually feel bad for him tonight. Yes he made the decision to keep Fellaini for the whole match when we all know he's just rubbish but the finishing from Lindgard and Marouane robbed us of three points. You can see he's starting to crack completely.

Teams United have beaten in the last two months: Sheffield United and Swansea. Both are hot garbage.

Allowing Fellaini to stay on and allowing Blind to be targeted is criminal. A coach this daft should be taken to jail for 24 hours not sacked. Just joking.
In all seriousness though, most of the holes in our defense came from a weird midfield.

The match could have been easily won without giving them so much options. Fellaini did not give anything to the team apart from a couple of defensive headers. He either runs beside the oppo or commits a foul with his hands. Horrible management and i mean horrible.

The players fail and they can't be excused when they do. But when they do, the manager should be able to spot the problems and change something to fix them. It doesn't always work but the obvious ones are criminal to ignore.

Mr. Philosophy must have had visions of Leicester flashing through his mind. We'll be back to cautious possession at the weekend. That's or ration of attacking football for the season.

Subs of Lingard for missing a sitter but keeps the most pathetic player in our history on the field when all he did was sabotaging us.

not a balanced side , wait till next match when we won't cross midfield. conceding 3 goals. that will have LVG up tonight.

How would you react if he comes out with: "This is what happens when you attack too much".

why do we have to be so defensively shit when we're attacking?

it was the same against wolfsburg and we almost threw it away against swansea as well.

I'm one of LVG biggest haters, I despise the guy but that result was in no way his fault tonight

Smalling thinking he's in UFC

Lingard not been able to finish

Fellaini not managing to do the only thing he's half decent at

That's the reason we dropped points

(I still want LVG gone though)

Wijnaldum and Sissoko also missed sitters though. Ultimately there's no excuse for throwing away a 2 goal lead v relegation fodder like Newcastle. 2 points from 6 v Newcastle this season is grim.

He needs to be sacked. This just highlights why, even more than the previously dour games. His attempts at playing attacking football, just show how fecking poor the coaching really is, as there's a complete meltdown in the first third.

He should be sacked: when the shackles need to come off and do, the defence goes to pot. He should be sacked also for just picking Fellaini as holding midfielder. Clueless and out of date: #LVGOUT

But he has been harping on about a lack of balance since he started with us two summers back. Schweinsteiger, Schneiderlin are supposed to be helping out in that department but why are we still so uselessly open if we try to attack?

They did but obviously I was looking at things from our perspective. I don't know, I feel weird, first time in a long while that I have some sympathy for him. Probably because he showed he was a human being.

I don't blame him that much today but why the feck does he keep playing fecking Fellaini?

We will not finish top 4 this season. Not sure whether he should be fired but I wouldn't be upset if he did get fired.
