Even if we lose the next game we can still salvage Top 4. Lose this game and we are out of anther competition, This game is way more important than the Newcastle game

We are playing 8th placed team in League One, at Old Trafford.

I'm not sure, if he was going to be sacked it would've happened 3 or 4 weeks ago. I think the club will stick with him to the end of this season regardless
Im not sure. If we lose this, then I think he may be in real trouble.

IMO that LCFC game was the turning point.
Up to that point, he allowed an all out attacking brand of football (just as he promised when he first arrived).
Remember Di Maria? He was basically allowed to do what he wanted to and I think we scored 7 goals in 2 games (these days we need about 10 games to score 7 goals).

Perhaps if Jamie Vardy had not existed, we would've gone on a totally different path.

We played 4 games before that Leicester game and only one was in any way offensive from us - the one against QPR, the worst side in the league, a week earlier. We were offensive against Leicester but that's it. We were dreadful and passive against Swansea, Sunderland and Burnley, I cannot see how anyone can honestly say we were a free flowing side.

He will fulfil his contract. Even if we finish 9th this season board will stick with him.

How can you be sure? We really don't know do we, and it's a bit annoying when people speak as they know for certain either way.

So turns out letting his players off the leash results in the same sort off football as there was when they were on the leash.

You could get the impression that this team plays against the coach since december. So maybe anybody - Giggs or even the green keeper - could finish this season better than the Dutchman.

I fear for my mental state if I have to watch this football for another year and a half. I didn't think it was possible to find watching a game of football such a miserable experience.

He just saved his job by drawing 0-0 at home to a side completely out of form. He's invincible.

Bet he will say after the game that we were good in the first half. God forbid we score in the second, he will be furious as it will give him twitchy arse.

It's almost as if there isn't anyone on our board with a footballing brain on them but of course that isn't true what with SAF and Sir Bobby around which makes the decision to prolong the agony even more strange.

All you need is eyes. We're run by the most incompetent group of people possible. How a manager can stay in the job without winning in 8 whilst being absolutely shit over 18 months is incredible. No other team would take this shit. But the very unique Man United like to do things the United way. I guess this is the new United style of football, too.

Manchester United - the kings of turning attack into defence.

If we draw today the dominant narrative will be that Sheffield United defended brilliantly to deny us victory, when in reality we've just been extremely predictable as usual and any competent side knows how to counter our attack.

Drama drama.

It's nowhere near as bad as people are making out (this game at least) and as the commentators are trying to hype up because it's an easy story.

We're just struggling to break down an extremely defensive side playing for their lives.

The players seem to at least be trying to play aggressively and quickly, but we're let down by our lack of pace and basic errors at key moments.

LVG will take all the flack yet again while Rooney gets a free pass despite not being able to do the absolute basics.

0-0 what a joker. How long is this going to go on for?

Is that 10 games since we scored in the first half?

I'm honestly starting not to really care. It feels like the football we play isn't united and I just feel so detached from the club I love.

The board make me furious, bad decision after bad decision alongside ridiculously slow reactions to the situation.

I'm starting to lose identity. It's like I'm not watching my own team, more like watching someone else as a neutral.
I really resent this and feel like punching someone.

Agree with this. I am not watching it with the same excitement/fear I watched the games with a few years ago. I literally used to panic every time the opposition got the ball and get excited when we'd have it. Now I watch

Getting better was drawing with Chelsea and a scraping a win against Swansea. Is that as good as it's ever going to get? The whole board needs fecking slapping..if they can't come to a decision on a new manager then they're all putting their own self interests above the club

Who knew watching United could get this tedious.
Making me miss Moyes's football.

I'm not winding anyone up, but I think I actually preferred the football we played under Moyes, yes, even including that game with the million crosses.

Am I the only one?

Aye, Rooney hasn't been criticised by this forum at all this season...

Not on this forum, in the press. Where it really matters.

I've not heard either BT commentator criticise Rooney for being unable to win a single 50/50, control a ball, smash a golden opportunity pass straight into the first defender, and I can guarantee those in the studio won't criticise him once either.

Yes LVG picks him, and yes we should have signed someone else/not let Hernandez go but that doesn't excuse the lack of objectivity from our biased press about his abject performances.

That's what's happened to me too, sadly. Find myself becoming increasingly disinterested and checking my phone during our games now.

Nope. Unbelievably, Moyes' football wasn't as bad as this.

This is dreadful, the club should apologise to the fans who've paid for seasons tickets. This isn't acceptable at all.

I'm not as hysterical as some on this forum and don't necessarily think we're run by idiots, but rather if we don't want Mourinho or Giggs we don't have options right now.
