I would rather commit ritual seppuku than let that man anywhere near this club. He doesn't have the temperament, intelligence, style, substance or common sense to manage Man Utd. He is not a big enough personality, he doesn't have the balls, the team wouldn't respect him, tactically he is bumbling...I could go on.

Legitimately, if it came between Rafa and Alan Pardew, I would go for Pardew.

Of course we should. Alan knows where to find the women.

I mean if we insist on having a lech as our manager can we at least do it right?

If Rafa hadn't managed liverpool how would people have felt about him as our Interim manager til the summer ?

Plays boring defensive football, hasn't won anything in 10 years, is a stubborn PITA and just seems utterly clueless...

I'd stick with LVG rather than have Lafa.

Alan Pardew would be a considerable step up. He's still a football player at heart it seems!

I dont like his football or 50% of his transfers and he got rid of my favourite players.

But the man has balls. To ship out as much as he did and to be so hell bent on getting the side to play to his philosophy is pretty impressive even if you dont like his football.

We actually have an identity (albeit slow and laboured) and a plan is in place.

As we have seen with Moyes - not having a direction is actually worse.

I wont be sad to see him go but I do admire LVG's monumental attempt at bringing some cohesion back to Old Trafford.

Things are desperate so reinforcements are required and fast. A solid cup run and top 4 at the very minimum is expected or else we will have another painfull rebuild all over.

I fail to see this identity and direction under LVG. So far its just tumescent football without the good results, all while breaking some unfortunate records. If that's the 'identity' we've built for ourselves then I'd rather be without one.

Dunno why but Pardew always reminds me of Principal Skinner.

Yep I was sat in first tier of saf stand. I could hear it from the Stretford end.

Very few sang it from the Stretford End. There was even a short-lived rendition of 'You're getting sacked in the morning' during the first half such is LVG's division among fans.

I for one hope he's a distant memory this time next year, but I fear the board are business men as opposed to football men.

I'm hopeful the usual massive injection of cash on an overpriced player or two will be enough to secure a top 4 place then we can send him packing in the summer. That's all I want, please.

Yeah that's where I'm at. I've given up hope of him being sacked any time soon as our next two games will inevitably be wins.

If we lose to Liverpool the media may start making noises again but I think having spent the money he'll be given to the rest of the season.

I'm going to be so depressed when its City.
It's clearly City.
Im not so sure. Pep is a clever guy, he knows both teams will most likely be looking for a new manager in the summer. Both clubs are in Manchester. Both are massively wealthy. He has a better squad at city but he can mould this United team. We have a good few Spaniards and Spanish speakers. (De Gea, Romero, Valdes, Varela, Rojo, Valencia, Herrera, Mata)
People are all saying Pep is going to go to City but Pellegrini isn't doing too badly. They could win the league and a few cups this season.
Id be more worried about Chelsea, London may be more attractive and they are definitely on the look out for a new manager.

Pep has basically told the world that united city and Chelsea are all in talks with him it's just a matter of who he picks. What a teasing prick no wonder we haven't fired lvg yet.

I dont like him or his management of the club, but I dont have a good replacement in mind so I guess I think he should get till the end of the season

Manchester United have been leading for a total of 165 minutes in their last 16 games in all competitions. Almost half of those came in 1 game against Watford.

He's not going anywhere if he finishes in the top 4 unfortunately. Seems like Woody is so far up LvG's backside, he cannot see anything else.

It was sang more than once during the match and definitely by a lot more than just a few in the Stretford End. It wasn't as loud and as many fans as were singing it earlier in the season, but it was still a significant number.

The 'you're getting sacked in the morning' chant came from the Swansea fans in the away end.

There were also chants of '**** off Mourinho' from the Stretford End, although that soon died down to be fair.

If you think Guardiola isn't 100% going to Manchester City you're off your rocker.

Only one manager can keep us up with Manchester City now, and it isn't Louis van Gaal.

I heard that Jose someone from Portugal is quite good...

I didn't think so. Not to mention the fact that we continued the chant in the second half with just 'red and white army' instead of 'Louis Van Gaals red and white army'.

Well, I heard it once in the first half and then later heard just the 'red and white army' chant. I also later heard the 'LVG's red and white army' chant after that for a second time. I believe that was at some point in the second half.

It was being sung fairly loudly from where I was sat and given that someone in the SAF stand said they could hear it, I'd say that's more than just a few people singing it. Like I say, it wasn't nearly as noisy as I'd heard it earlier in the season but the atmosphere was more subdued during the Swansea game anyway. Fans were singing it at the Chelsea game as well which did surprise me a little...

I'm hoping that Woodward will realise we've stagnated under LVG if we finish 4th again despite spending a mountain of money and make the decision to bring in someone else. Maybe I'm giving him too much credit though.

Whatever way you cut it... There were foolhardy Moyes supporters right to the end & there'll be the same with Van Gaal. The tide is turning and has already done so with a significant amount of the match going fans and beyond.

The tide has started to turn obviously but match going fans are not likely to vocalise that sentiment as we're not a cringey bunch like Real Madrid. Thankfully so...

I dont think it would take that much to get us back to competing with City, who have been utterly average for a season and a half now and are often found wanting when their big stars aren't playing out of their skin. What we need is a manager to get the best out of the team at his disposal instead of trying to shoehorn some rubbish philosophy that clearly hasn't worked on a consistent basis for about 18 months now, not some miracle worker. City might be ahead of us and have a shedload of money but they aren't that much better than us and that's saying something considering how rubbish we've been this season. I'm not even saying Mourinho at this stage, any decent practical manager with an attacking mindset could get us within reach of a proper title challenge this season (though that says more about the PL this season instead of us). If LVG turned it all around and finally abandoned his soul crushing tactics and play style I'd imagine most United fans would get behind it, but based on his tenure here that's incredibly unlikely and so it's hard to even consider supporting him at this stage.

Say what you like about Real but Perez had cottoned on to the fact that the FSW was taking his club down the shitter and he has taken decisive action.

This reminds me of the whole Hazard debacle. He won't end up here and to be honest, I think he should focus on the rest of his season with Bayern.

Woody and his wife head out for dinner with LVG and his wife each week. Best buddies apparently.

Seriously? That'd be great news if it was a manager we actually liked/wanted. In this case it's the worst news. If you were being serious, of course.

Well, LVG seems like a decent man, Woody prob helping him settle in. A bit cozy though when it comes to sacking him though. LVG might turn things around now that the storm has settled.
