I feel slightly bad for him. The two goals - one a donkey error by Depay and the other a goal of the week contender by Arnautovic - were just bad luck to happen to us on the same day. Just shows when the tide turns, you cannot run away from it no matter where you hide. I feel that is the thing with LVG. The stars seem to be aligned against him and when this happens it is better to cut our losses.

I agree with you. When the shit hits the fan it really seems to splatter everywhere for us.

Nothing is aligned against anyone, we deserved to lose and played like SHIT
We did deserve to lose. Don't get me wrong. However when those are the kind of goals you concede you know that no luck is going your way.

They've certainly been mistakes but we don't really know what happened with Mourinho and whether he really was available or not. I never believed Moyes was first choice but we couldn't exactly say that at the time. I never wanted Van Gaal either but it was bad timing when we were looking a new manager with the best all tied up.

of course he was available...and he wanted it so bad. Charlton vetoed it. unless that was not true.

I don't know what the Van Gaals sat down to eat for Christmas dinner yesterday, but his goose is cooked, it must be by now.

"Erm, has anybody on the forum not a feeling to apologise to me? Nobody has that feeling? That's what I’m wondering?"

I've been called agenda driven and biased against LvG...

I don't blame him too much today as he should have already been sacked. The fault lies with our incompetent board and a bunch of players who need a good kick up the arse as well.

None of us here know for sure. There's conflicting reports on what happened. If we decided against him then it was a massive error in judgement.

As a supporter for Van Gaal until last week, this is just a useless excuse.

When we were winning last year, many of our wins could have been attributed to "luck". But I, among others, defended Van Gaal and said that it's the team spirit, it's the right tactics, it's knowing how to grind out results. We didn't care how and why, we were happy with Van Gaal that he was getting the results.

So now that we're losing we're gonna switches sides on this? Nah, you can have bad luck in one game, two games, you can have bad luck when you try everything and hit the post and the bar and then somehow the other teams flukes a goal out of nowhere. But this is not about bad luck. We were playing like sh*t (for quite some time now), we don't even threaten to score enough, and we're wide open for counter attacks and don't challenge shots. What do you expect?

And by the way, the second goal is not goal of the week contender really, just a free shot on goal with nobody challenging or even blocking his view to the goal. When you let professional players take free open shots on your goal, then you better expect they're gonna hit the target sometimes. There is no luck about that.

Anybody see the look he shot the interviewer on Sky at the end of the interview just?

  did you see the look Van Gaal gave the reporter at the end? Who the feck does he think he is?

I hate the cnut. He's not in any way shape or form what United are about.

A managers job is to get the best out of players. He's failed miserably.

The look he gave the Sky sports reporter deserves it's own thread  But there are many LvG ones now so.

  • This guys is really deluded expecting to score from every fecking chance.

    feck off and quick !
Tbf you should be able to expect Fellaini to have scored.

Me too.

I should make a thread to ask for apologies. :)

feck off and quick !

And just seconds after saying they are inhibited by the pressure on them too.

He will be gone by tonight imo. The turnaround to v Chelsea is too short to allow this to drag for a few days

Surely we wont sack him today and appoint Mourinho 48 hours before the Chelsea game ?
Sack him today and begin the 'process' of bringing in Mourinho in if that's who we're after. Let someone caretaker for the Chelsea game. The longer we leave it the longer it delays our next move.
