If we sack LVG and Giggs is the new manager:

Like LvG's sacking the game goes into extra time.

Doing what?quick question, why are you doing this?
Because its Phil jones' face. Why is Phil Jones on the board? Fair play I suppose for the greatest player in our history.
Scary? Grow up. The United way is what differentiates us from Chelsea and Arsenal and Barca and Real. Manchester United aren't just a team I watch on TV or play on FIFA. They're my local club and they're a family club. If all that's left is an empty husk of a team that wears a red shirt, it'll be a dark day. What's truly childish is being a glory seeker.
The current manager ticked all your boxes and still turned out shit. And successful businesses frequently promote from within, favouring loyal individuals who have been groomed for the role.
Because its Phil jones' face.
I dread having Mourinho as a manager because I've already witnessed how much people want 'modernity' and 'European way' under LvG where a lot of people wanted to keep him after that tragedy of a season. It'd be similar under Mourinho albeit ten times worse and he would be able to get away with anything. Languishing in 16 in just before Christmas? Not his fault, the players let him down.
Giggs is groomed to take the job for longer than 3 years by the looks of it. Mourinho can say what he wants, he's never failed to be a ticking time bomb at any club. He has experience at United and fulsome respect, he's a proven legend whom everyone at the club loves and being assistant to two shitty managers will not change that. If we go for United way again we'll basically set ourselves we'll stop the cycle we've been in since Fergie left. Get it done.
Yeah it's a running joke on here that we always win the possession.Come on. We play out from the back and have better ball retention than every other club in the league.
But they are.You realize that Arsenal, Barca and Real all have long traditions as well and their more rosy eyed fans also think they are special and unique, just like RAWK.
Giggs would keep the same training regimes that have been working and bring in replacements for the ones that have fallen flat. There'll be a continuity in terms of presence but, happily, a huge shift in terms of style. Why Giggs though? Why not Gary, Scholes, Beckham or Quinton Fortune? All of them have the same amount of managerial experience.
There is no such thing as United way. It's nonsense.
And you know that how? From his managerial history?Giggs would keep the same training regimes that have been working and bring in replacements for the ones that have fallen flat. There'll be a continuity in terms of presence but, happily, a huge shift in terms of style.

Because that's what he's been groomed to do and what LvG has stated he's been impressed that Giggs has learnt. And you know that how? From his managerial history?
We went through a lot of styles under Ferguson, he experimented. There is no distinct way of playing which is why youth teams do not employ the same tactics as senior side. We don't have it deeply rooted from the basic level like Barca do and it's not a bad thing. It really isn't nonsense. It's to do with the principles of the club. Attacking football, giving youth players a chance, etc.
What happened with Guardiola is quite unique. It is not something that is going to happen very often. The way he did such a fantastic job under a lot of pressure at a massive club like Barcelona so early in his career and with so little experience is incredible. He is an exception to the rule though. More often than not, such an appointment would fail. That said, he did a great job with Barcelona B and got them promoted. So not only did he have more experience as a manager than Giggs when he took over Barcelona, but he had also achieved more as a manager before he took the job. I am not saying that Giggs would do a bad job if he was made United manager (because I do not know how he would do, and neither does anyone on this forum), but giving the job to someone with no experience as a manager is not a risk United should be taking at this moment IMO. Moyes set the club back enough. The last thing it needs is something similar happening again.I wonder if Barca fans said the same when Pep was appointed manager? How wrong they were proved.
I literally couldn't breath after watching this.

They are all special and unique. All the A list teams are. The thing is that what makes them special changes from club to club. You realize that Arsenal, Barca and Real all have long traditions as well and their more rosy eyed fans also think they are special and unique, just like RAWK.
Yes. Well, he at least needs to be replaced on the football operations side of the club.Does Woody need to go with LvG?
Huh? Are we playing today?!United go through after extra-time
2-1
You want the same success as Arsenal have had in the last 10 years?Well, Barca are special because they created a successful system that outlasts managers. Arsenal are special because they have the same manager for nearly 20 years and that gives them a continuity, even though it's not been as successful as in the past.
We were special because we had Ferguson. If we want to be special in the future, and not just another big club, we have to find our niche.
Some of the finest companies in the world always recruit from within and most often based only on potential and not prior experience for the role.
I worked for Unilever PLC for 11 years in the marketing department, regarded as one of the top 3 marketing departments in the world. I was promoted 5 times and on each occasion did not possess practical experience for the role I was promoted into, yet performed with distinction every time .... Because like you say I was always being groomed for additional responsibilities. There were/ are countless more examples like me in many other organisations.
The anti Giggs stance that he will not succeed as Manchester United manager right now is flawed. He has every chance of succeeding as as much chance as appointing an experienced pro like Moyes or LVG.
Given Mourinho's availability, I'd want the club to go for him, I'm a fan and I like him. But i'd be equally delighted if Giggs was appointed and think he has as much chance of succeeding as any of the other names being mentioned because of all the 'grooming' reasons already mentioned many times before.
