Where's the I don't know What the club should do about the managerial situation?

I personally like Van Gaal, he's a good bloke, very honest & has a proven system. But it's not working, I really want him to be successful with United. I see people wishing the club to fail so he gets sacked, that is just a tragic point of view!
I believe the club is reviewing him now & won't wait until the end of the season if results don't dramatically improve.

sorry what I meant was the official statement came through on the website first when it was officially confirmed.

Yes there was loads of rumours from the previous night
With Moyes especially, the news was good as confirmed the previous day, with all the papers reporting the same thing almost word for word.

Club only sent out the message the next day.

Some looney in the Newbs reckons his mate is youth coach at Porto, and said coach claims that José has told him he's off to United. Why can't we in the Mains have made-up ITK rubbish of such quality? Pull your fingers out...or gouge your eyes out or something. Chop chop.

sounds legit to me....

We're sticking with our man LvG here folks.

Sick to death of this attitude on here. Virtually nobody wants him as manager inc me but this attitude to a man who played 900 times for us is appalling.

Yes he played 900 times for us, and I appreciate everything he did for us as a player. But he doesn't deserve to be anywhere near the managing post, has nothing to do with his playing achievements. I respect him like I do Paul Scholes etc. doesn't mean I want him to be coach either.

I've been discreet about it but I'm mate with Wenger and he is secretly mate with Mourinho and he texted me this morning that Mendes, who is mate with a portuguese contractor who worked for my uncle, was maybe in contact with Woodward.

Edit: On a serious note you never know maybe he is telling the truth.

that he wants to be manager, and thinks he can do a good job?

Well, cripes, shoot him!

Doesn't everybody? Doesn't make him anywhere near good enough though. Hell Moyes thought in his own mind he was good enough, that doesn't mean he was.

Someone else acting like the Guardian, Independent and Times haven't said anything similar.

They're all trash too right ?

Yes. Why would you think otherwise. The Guardian is a garbage paper. Quite possibly bthe worst of all. For air heads and hippies.

Well this sounds a lot more respectful than "hope he fecks off" or "he's not staying around out of the goodness of his heart"

Re the second sentiment there Giggs stayed loyal to this club throughout his entire career and is a United man through and through. That doesn't qualify him for the job but it might largely explain why he wants it.

We did have nlmax for the memphis transfer

He's not clearly not being sacked, not before Stoke anyway. None of the mildly respected papers have anything on him being sacked.

Yeah it probably does, and I've supported the club for 27 years and i'd want it, Doesn't mean i'd deserve it either. No other top club in the world would give him the post and we should be no different.

I think if the vote were changed from what you "want" to happen to what you "think" will happen, the sack now option would be close to 90%

I spoke to one of the janitors who works at Carrington and LVG told him that he's being replaced tonight, but to avoid any arguments he's getting to pick his successor. He personally called Pep this morning and he's on a plane from Germany to attend a quick press conference that's being arranged to announce his new contract.

So, just to confirm; Pep Fenstermacher, the apprentice window maker from Stuttgart, is going to be our new manager on a ten year deal.

Just want to point out, if Giggs got the job - it would be because the club felt he deserved it. Likewise for anyone so people saying this and that give it a rest. Sometimes it works and sometimes it don't. The fact is, he hasn't got the job and LVG is still in charge - for now

I agree with that, I don't particularly want him to be sacked but his demeanor wasn't the one of a United manager, the board ought to see it.

Maybe the new man will want him there

Just like I am sure LVG wanted him there too. This idea he was forced on him is probably BS

When Jose 1st joined Chelsea Steve Clarke was one of his assistants for example. I think they like to have that link between staff and players

Why would he want him here anymore then any of the other current back room staff? Back room staff who are far more proven then Giggs is.

Why should Giggs survive two managerial and staff sackings any more then any of the other staff that got/will get sacked?

What exactly has Giggs done to be absolved from any blame for the past two and a half seasons, while everyone else around him loses their jobs?

We're Manchester United ffs. Jobs should be given on merit, not romantic delusion or some sort of misguided loyalty. If we're giving out jobs for loyalty we might as well give Scholes and Neville a job too. How about bringing Becks back? Maybe we could find places for Rio and Ole while we're at it too?

You obviously haven't read the Daily Star, Sun or the Express then.

Obviously there are parts of the sport media that write click bait trash and report false rumours to gain view/clicks. Either way it is naive to think there aren't some journalists clued up about what is going on.

I remember the same "bull***" statement being thrown at all the Di maria to psg stories until it actually happened.

I remember someone in the Times (possibly Rory Smith) saying that when you hear clubs brief things like "the manager has two games to save his job" it means the lawyers are already talking.

It says something about a man where the players from Az Alkmaar think you're a cnut.

I dont know but I wouldnt at all be surprised if Jose joins he will also request for Giggs stay.

I dont think Giggs can be held accountable by the way, for anything has happened. Certainly not under Moyes as he was only a player-coach. And LVG I think is too much of a control freak to allow too much influence from anyone except himself

other than against Norwich when Giggs had Smalling playing as a striker, I had not seen too much of a direct intervention in anything van Gaal had done. Giggs cannot be in any way be held responsible for what has happened under Moyes and van Gaal imo.

Umm, he was going to resign after 2008 season but players requested him to stay on. He won the league with them against the odds and then left for Bayern. Dutch football experts can shed more light on this..

It's remarkable that a manager can bring champions to 16th in the league and be in demand by other Top clubs. Do NOT want Maureen, hope we don't get him.

If we appoint Mourinho will Dunc still hate us?
He will be the most confused human being on Earth. His bald head would explode out of not understanding how to hate us and lick the asshole of Jose.
