The day he was sacked.
10:00 in New York might be waiting for the NY stock exchange to open. Could be in the next few hours. Or of course not.

I love all this "new York stock exchange" nonsense.

Talk about clutching at straws

I think LVG will be allowed to enjoy Christmas with his family. Surely we're not that heartless.

He'll be fired at the crack of dawn on Boxing day.

obviously you're on the chuckle.

but it's not like he's a guy on minimum wage bringing 3 dreg kids up with the rent to pay.

He's on outrageous money and would get a colossal pay off.
There's no feeling sorry in that circumstance!

Of course he can still be sacked. Firstly him going to a hospital with the team is good PR. I don't think anyone hates the guy. Secondly, it's not everyday someone like Jose becomes available. Thirdly, Jose is only 52 and I would think he could be the manager for quite a while if we got him. Forthly, it was never an ideal situation. Next summer if LVG is still in charge, people will know he's only probably got a year left. That is not a good situation. So there's a lot of big decisions to be made but I don't think we're in a rush. I doubt he will last two more games though. There will be rumors, discussions - yes clickbait but I don't think many people are seeing the improvement we hoped for.

But straws are good.

I like the idea that Mourinho's first game would be Chelsea!

You couldn't script that type of sh!t.

But most likely he'll never manage us, and Van Gaal will be given ages more. And then Giggsy can have a little piss about for a few weeks

You wont get direct quotes, but there are a lot of rumours. Of course in official interviews the players will back him.
Look at the Chelsea thing with Mou, rumours galore before he went, with direct quotes of players all backing him. Then day hes sacked conflict with players confirmed.

Fair point. But I still don't buy it. It doesn't look like the players don't back him - it seems more of something created by the media. Anyway, the whole club seems like there is a huge gloom about it. If fact, I check news updates before I post here each time. I don't think there has been such 'inevitability' about a sacking at United before. I hope I'm wrong, but it just feels like its going to happen.

The merciful thing to do for Van Gaal himself would be to sack him now. You can't argue with his resume but his philosophy isn't working and he's not going to change. Much better for him to enjoy Christmas with his family without having the dread of whether he's going to be sacked the next day, the next week or the next month over his head.

he will have all that money to comfort him over Christmas.

My biggest fear is that we end up keeping LvG now and fire him at the end of the season. If that happen, we have a board issue more than anything else.

Some desperate stuff in here. Grabbing any scrap of news, regardless of where it's from.

If he's going, it will be on our website. So f5 that for the foreseeable future by all means.

And by that time Jose will be in a new job, Pep at City, Ancelotti at Bayern....and us up shit creak.

Yep, cos the official site is always the first with the news

Would that not be a perfect scenario for hiring Pep?

There seems to be lots of rumours about LVG going, full steam ahead mode and it was the same with Moyes, no smoke without fire i assume, i don't see anyway back for LVG now.

Reliable. The express, Sun, and co are not. These are what the desperate are clinging on to. All very sad.... I mean, sane :wenger:
Someone else acting like the Guardian, Independent and Times haven't said anything similar.

They're all trash too right ?
