his passing was very good created a couple of decent openings, and intercepted ball well high up the pitch which seemed to be the only way to create stuff today.. you are watching different game it seems. He only fail to deliver a better cross on two occassions

Does anyone else notice how he positions himself in the centre of the pitch in the opponents 3rd at times? I like it.
He keeps ending up around the centre, just outside the box. I saw Rojo gesturing to Shaw to get wide but he keeps moving into a central position. Shouldn't he be around the touchline giving us width and helping stretch their defense.
He's a bit timid to push forward and get the turbo jets working. Definitely playing within himself.
Needs a few games to get match fitness and confidence up it seems.

Pre season 2017 will be key for him because I can't see him getting many chances this season if he play like this. But we all know the class he's got when fit so fingers crossed.
Clearly lacks match fitness as I thought he was terrible first half. Offered nothing going forward and was caught out of position a few times somehow ending up at right back

Give him a bit of time, wow its ridiculous in here. Compare a player coming back after a season long injury, and then a smaller injury and being dropped and thrown under the bus to one of the greatest fullbacks of his generation in his prime? No just let him get rid of the rustiness and we'll see. Shaw is class on his day and will be going straight to the top, he's defensively superb although his crosses have never been a strong point.
Fellaini's done more in the red shirt and Rojo has been one of our best players this season. What has Shaw done since coming here 3 seasons ago?

Honestly, I dont' remember much of him unless I tried to look for him, but he didn't screw up today. Decent considering he hasn't played properly for over two months. Hopefully there's more to come as I've had it with Darmian.

Shaw did fine for a first game in a while. Made a few surges forward, got in some crosses, defended reasonably well. Sure he could have done more, overlapped more but so could most of the team.
At about 50% today and still better than any of our options at LB.

Not great but did well enough to deserve more game time. Needs more confidence. And more urgency in tracking back.
The physical skills are still there but he looks very short on confidence. Didn't try to overlap too much (like before) or take on his man too much (saw Rooney yell at him for that). Hope Mou gives him a couple of more matches to work his way back.

Basically, this. He offered more going forward than Darmian has at any point this season. We need to consistently play him.
