Awful tonight

Doesnt look fit, looks like he's turning physically into Rooney and passing awful

-10 rating for this guy tonight.

Lazy, overweight, unfit.

Doesn't track back, doesn't get forward, doesn't overlap or support the winger at all. Terrible performance from him, another few games like this and I want him out. I can accept he needs time after his injury but the laziness is what is getting me!

Utter, utter shite tonight - needs to be dropped indefinitely.

I have no clue what that performance was. He himself player poorly and it also seems that he's very reluctant to get forward since coming back in the side after the Watford debacle. Bizarre drop in his level from where he was at the start of this season.

How can a young footballer at a big club be so unfit? He's a mess. Terrible performance.

Unfortunately I think the injury has ruined him. He won't run at people anymore and appears terrified.

I think it's a psychological thing.

If that was the case I can understand him being uncertain with the ball or when 1v1, but there's no excuse for his lack of running in general. Night and day when compared to Darmian going up and down the opposite flank. He doesn't look fully fit, which in turn will obviously effect him psychologically.

Mourinho has shattered his confidence. He was flying until he was unfairly dropped.

It's partly his fault we are in such shite form and serves him fecking right - he needs to show more faith in our players, not just fecking Zlatan. What he did with Scwhinsteiger, Shaw and Mkhitarian is a down right disgrace.

Sums up the state of the football section on this forum, embarrassing.
He needs to get his act together and if he doesnt he is a clown. I have hope for him but its diminshing rather quickly

One time he criticized him and he's shite cause of that.
He's really a sensitive guy isn't he.

Terrible.

But I've seen injuries destroy a player's mentality. Hopefully it's not affecting him.

He looks shit, plays very poorly, his brother called Mourinho a cnut, he really doesn't have a leg to stand on at the moment.

Pretty sure that was a wind-up and turned out to be false. He's genuinely more predictable than Valencia though. How is it that fullbacks are unable to cross the fecking ball I don't understand.

Why doesn't he even try to beat a player anymore, if he sees a player within 20 yards of him, he passes it back, he used to be the one carried us forward, he looks soo bad and overweight. His general play was soo poor, he couldn't get the weight on his passes right. Shocking Performance.

A guy who is 21 years old and just returning from a broken leg that saw him miss an entire season. It's embarrassing to claim he's a clown or seemingly act like he's some kind of cnut just because he's had a tough run of games since returning from a horrendous injury.

I'm not surprised though, the United section on this forum is verging on unreadable at times because there's so many people like you with pathetic overreactions.

Sadly no, he deleted the tweets but the replies were still there, you can find it in our twitter feed/in thread regarding this matter I think Damo proved that it was indeed his brother's account.

He is an exquisite defender but seeing him get beaten repeatedly is extremely worrying. Hopefully he can get going soon, I trust in him.

Ah right, that's unfortunate. What was he thinking? There aren't many clever people about these days. Let's hope Shaw returns to form anyway.

That's right, it's the managers fault for upsetting the poor little lamb. No wonder he can't pass a ball 5 yards or whip in a half decent cross with such a nasty, nasty man saying mean things about him

Shaw is well below the level he displayed before the injury. Unfortunately so are many others. No guts in this team. No tough guy when Bailly and Smalling are out of the team. To many players underperforming. If they can't pass the ball to 5 meters and can't stop the pass don't tell me it's the managers fault.

He got injured...

Sad to see that he couldnt even make easy passes. The running at people will come with confidence but hes also struggling with other stuff that should be easier. Even his crosses under no pressure are poor.

I remember Eduardo when he broke his leg vs Birmingham I think, that jerk Martin or what was he called broke it.

He was never the same after it. Sure he scored goals and was decent in Shaktar, he's still playing too, but never got back to his level which brought him to Arsenal.

Looks so tentative defensively and going forward. Gonna take a while to get back to his top form.

A difficult season after such a lengthy injury, should come as no surprise, nor should Shaw's limited impact in the attacking third; He has one assist this season, his 2nd for United, having got 2 assists during his time at Southampton.

He's been very bad today. But he'll come good. He is 21 only. An injury, regardless of how severe it is, shouldn't afflict him psychologically. It is like Ramsey's situation at Arsenal. Ramsey returned strongly in their lineup after a long injury. He just needs to get leaner, fitter and lose that rotundity.

One swallow does not a summer make

That's nonsense though. It took Ramsey almost 3 years before he hit his best form. He started to string a consistent run of performances in the second half of 12/13 and then had that monstrous 13/14 season. Shaw isn't the same player as we seen at the start of last season, but that's to be expected. The only thing I'm concerned about is the shape he's in at the moment, but everything else is natural. The overreaction on here is laughable.

Looks overweight. He looked much slimmer at the start of the season and in good shape. Not sure what has happened to him, must be too many visits to Wings
