Lukaku to Chelsea? €100m bid + player rejected

Cheeky Chelsea / Inter bid for Depay if Barca can't register the dude due to their salary cap? Or maybe even Aguero?

Not sure if mentioned, but this is his girlfriend . She lives in London, I can imagine it would he interesting for him to move back to London.

I really hope this deal goes through....and for a ridiculous amount too. He'll end up being another Werner and his two left feet will return. Italy is his level and he should stay there. He certainly get the same numbers back in the PL.

Yeah, I think that is probably the plan.

I wonder whether Tuchel will stick with three at the back. Assuming Lukaku starts almost every important game at CF, that formation effectively leaves only leaves two positions for Werner, Pulisic, Havertz, Mount, and Ziyech.
He isn’t a great fan or either Pulisic or Ziyech from what we saw last season. And Mount is pretty nailed on to start.

He is not a particular system oriented manager. He used many tactical setups to overcome specific opponents in his previous jobs also tweeks system for players in his squad.

At chelsea he didn't try it yet but had to play every three four days crucial matches last season. He rarely got time to work with players to change tactical set up. Will be interesting to see how he utilise full squad from the start though.

What's more impressive about tuchel was he got kante with fitness issues when he took over. Though he was under pressure to deliver from first match he let kante to overcome from injury fully, at the same time used kovacic and jorginho to full effect. Once kante fitness issue solved he gradually allowed him to gain match fitness. Not over used him or rushed him.

Tuchel will bring out the best in him guaranteed. Lukaku needs a solid manager to push him. All aspects of his game has improved so much since leaving England - his first touch, vision, passing, finishing etc. I'll be sure to bump this thread when he's banging in goals for fun in EPL :drool:. I cannot off the top of my head think of any CB that is stronger AND faster than him in the league.

Perhaps its because the italian league is shit and his flaws aren't as exposed as they were in the premier league? Hence the reason his touch and vision isn't as big an issue? When Chris Smalling and Dalot are some of the top defenders in your league.... you know its not that strong.

Doesn't matter if you're a CB, his touch is so bad that by the time he gets the ball under control, you'll be in a good position to defend anyway.

He was a unmotivated lump at United who allowed him to tour WA/ Asia before selling him. I can’t believe Chelsea consider him at 100 million plus, but he’ll get them 20 plus goals per season (if motivated)

ManUtd fan drooling over a rival club player scoring

I remember when Daley Blind, not exactly known for his strength, pocketed Lukaku with ease.

I'd suggest that when compared to other so called 'World class' forwards, Lukaku's first touch control is akin to a drunk elephant attempting a 'Panenka'.

Still some fans genuinely believe we shouldn't have sold him, despite seeing how we've moved on a gear since.

I hope it happens. Ashley Young is a top player in that league. His return to the EPL will see him return to being United Lukaku.

Will be a good signing but I’m glad they’re getting Lukaku and not Haaland.

Lukaku is the Seria A MVP and just ended Juventus' 8 year dominance in that league. If we're denigrating Seria A, then we're doing that to every other team and player in that league.

Are we going to pretend that Lukaku wasn't scoring a lot of goals in PL for Everton before United? His last season at Everton he scored 25 in 37 matches in the league.

On current stats it actually looks like United is the only anomaly in his career and not the opposite.

He played for Chelsea before and failed?
