Lukaku Signs | Official

Because I've witnessed time and time again what a frustrating player he is/can be :p
You seem to be ignoring his record in the PL for Everton you know the league Rom will be playing in for United. Scoring 25 goals for a team like Everton says it all.

My post is 'I think' yeah, how could I possibly know? It's okay if you think differently, obviously.

He has played 2 games for Belgium as a 24-year old in both of which he was awful once again, feel free to watch them if you think I'm just making stuff up. And those were against lower tier opposition who defended deep in front of their own goal.

He scored in the game V Greece.

A vital goal in the last min of normal time.

With Belgium having to go away to Greece in Sep they would have had only 1 point lead instead of 3 if he didn't get that goal.

A goal out of nothing really.

Lovely goal that, proper strikers finish.

It finally feels - for the first time since May 2013 - that we are back to having that strut. Back to being Manchester United. I wrote an article after Fergie left, saying the mentality shift at the club will be so great that it will take them five years to get it right....I think we've got it right. Genuinely. Without any bullshit...I think we're right back up there.

Most of his (almost all, actually) goals in that one goal-scoring streak last season where after 80' when games tend to be more open. Playing for Everton is completely different than for United, I think you'll agree with that at least. He's good, just not great imo and a bit too one-dimensional, but maybe he'll adapt to the different playing style. What he has shown for Belgium suggests he can score goals for you (and definitely will) but won't offer enough in the general play and build-up, is what I think, what makes him a frustrating player a lot of times.

That was quality yeah, and I was as happy as the next man. I never said he was awful or something like that, did I? Just not top quality. I think that's exactly the kind of things he needs to be doing for United if he wants to succeed there, but he doesn't score goals like that often enough imo.

If we got Griezmann, this would have been the perfect summer. Him plus Lukaku would have been devastating but alas. Hopefully we'll get that midfielder and winger sorted though.

People say this every year, but let's hope :)

We still need to sign more attackers though

The only thing we fans care about is him finding the back of the net on a regular basis, the manner in which they are scored is entirely irrelevant. Indeed if he scores 20+ tap-ins next season he'll be hailed as a huge success by everyone associated with the club.

"I almost signed Official."

I do not recall many saying such things under Moyes or LVG.
People said it last summer after we signed Pogba and Ibra, the summer before that when we signed Schmidfield, Depay, Darmian and Martial, and also the summer before that when we signed Di Maria and he was excellent in the beginning of the season.

"We're back" etc. It's the same buzz every summer when we sign someone big.

I'm not saying we aren't going to be back competing for the title next season though, I just think it's a little early to get the hopes very high up

Some of the optimists might have, this time more people have the feeling.

Jose' 2nd season and all that...

Boyhood Chelsea fan who proclaimed his life would be complete if he would be able to play for Chelsea, now "United is the greatest club in the world", cringe. After his comments that he rates himself alongside the likes of Suarez and Lewandowski... I'll be called bitter but he's such a dislikeable person, his antics on the field last year proved it as well.

Congrats though to those who are happy with the signing.

This is such a bitter, bitter post. Jesus Christ.

So when Griezmann comes in January we'll push for the title?

Going back to that Herald mistake posting a pic of Stormzy instead of Lukaku. Was just reading the replies to his tweet about not finding it funny and my fecking god he's really got white people riled up. Why do we have to be absolute Ihni binni dimi diniwiny anitaime about it and not just understand why a black guy wouldn't find it funny?

It's primarily cnuts with some form of Trump quote in their bio also.

Delighted to finally have the Lukaku deal over the line. It was never in doubt since the weekend, but to see a key signing in the United shirt for the first time is always satisfying to see. I hope Chelsea fans have got their "we never wanted him" reasoning in order by now.

After Chelsea unveiled Rüdiger in the megastore stockroom yesterday, we clearly had to raise the bar for this one. I think announcing it on an LA porn set was a bold and creative move. Welcome, Romelu!

In those games yes, not in general though.

I doubt that, Ibra received his fair share of criticism as well. We'll find out soon enough.

Seriously. Why are they posting in a United forum?
To make bitter posts about our new marquee signing. There are places where posts like that would be appreciated RAWK for example but the CAF isn't one of them.

Coming on here debating the qualities of our players is one thing. That post was not what you should post on an apposing teams forum.
