Let's hope he has a more successful comeback than Michael Jackson.

Excellent news. Perhaps this summer will turn out okay afterall, if we can get Wayne and Nani back to their best and hungry for more success as well as at least bolstering our midfield numbers.

Happy to see him sign for 5 years and I hope that he continues to improve his distribution (the only thing stopping him being truly world class IMO) and we'll see the best years of his career.

Love it.. He's become the "forgotten man" but once he gets a healthy spell in the team, he will cement his place in the team for the big games.

Good stuff and hopefully an indication that we do have plans for him as its a 5 year deal. He an kagawa with rvp and Rooney has to be given a run of games. I reckon the team will look so much better for it.

Very happy. Our best winger and hopefully he gets a run in the side to prove his quality.

Would love to see a front 4 of Nani, Rooney, Kagawa and RVP.

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSS! This news has made the 3-hour flight delay and stay at the airport, worth it.

Best player to watch (on form) in the league in my opinion & someone who can create something even when he is having a bad game.
It will also mean we will be more fluid, as teams will double up on a Nani in form creating space for others.

The one match which I really regret and made me dislike having Carrick in the team for a while was the Bayern match of 2010. I still think if we had won that match our squad the last 3 years would have been slightly different, more adventurous and awesome to watch.

Woah woah woah. I think we're all a bit giddy, but not this giddy.

Brilliant news. Did a little "yesssss" at my desk at work when I saw the news.

Call me cynical but the timing is very apt.

Juve knew he had signed over a week ago, we save it a day or two after everyone has been reflecting on our transfer activity.

My ex gf wished me dead overnight and i just got a call from HR telling me i hadn't got a job i went for.

WHO GIVES A feck NOW THOUGH!

I see your point. With the amount of stick United received from Woody's actions he is now trying divert some attention.

Overall I am very pleased with the fact Nani has signed a new long term contract. He is truly a fantastic player.

At a time when creative and technical gifted players are becoming rarer at OT, it was a good idea of signing Nani.

Great news. He's massively frustrating but no one else in our squad can give what he brings to us when he's in form.

in my opinion on form, he is the Best United player to watch (it is surely a matter of taste), and if that is the case he would be the best for me to watch in the league.

I'm not getting you, if he'd already signed it then it'd hardly have any impact on the end of the transfer window for us.

Which is my point, the club knew we might not bring in players to appease the fans so saved a bit of good news for when the dust has settled.

Everyone's a bit happier now, if they announced it when the press were talking about our transfers, the positive impact would have been lost. It's just a bit of good PR.

Given the reaction to the Juve news it seems the reaction would've been similar regardless, and you'd think signing up Nani a week ago would've given he fans a bit more confidence in the club/Woodward before the transfer deadline day rush which is similarly beneficial from a PR perspective.

This should give Nani that extra bit of confidence he needs. No need to try and prove himself now. I expect to see him come into his own now. Very pleased.

Good news in the circumstances. Need all the creativity we can get (even if he is the definition of 'mercurial').

Now all we need to do is fecking play him. The gulf in class between him and Young is ridiculous.

Excellent, thought he was gone at the end of last season.

Surprised and delighted by this, I've always been overly critical of Nani but on his day there are few better players in the Premier League. Thought we looked immediately more dangerous when he came on v Liverpool.
Hopefully he gets a run of games after the break because he's very much a confidence player.
