Good display. Almost scored and played in a very good pass leading to the Van Persie chance.

Should be starting when fit. By far the best winger we have.

Its almost embarrassing to see how much better he is then Young & Valencia.

A winger who likes to dribble, shoot and cross....what a strange thing eh?

Good to see him back now let's get him some form. He did not play well today.

Didnt set things on fire when he came on, but those were some cruel circmstances to come back after an injury with every other United player playing like shit. Good shot though.

Might have lost the ball a few times but he brought a creative spark that we clearly missed all game. Give him a few more starts to get hkm up to speed.

Wasn't his best game but that's to be expected given how long he's been out. His top level is significantly higher than any of our other wing options. He should be starting IMO.

He wasn't particularly good when he came on but he still helped change the game positively for us. Even if he isn't playing well he's likely to create something. He needs to start when fit.

He was shit apart from the shot, but at least he tries to do stuff, unlike others.

Thing that is good about him, is that he likes to be in dangerous areas all the time, even though he was usual Nani after injury, misplacing passes all the time, he still looked like only one who could create something. I just hope he will get few games in a row ignoring how good/bad he played.

Knew he will be shit but still that shot was decent. Anyways hope he starts from now on.

A mixed performance tbh, but "mixed" is enough to make him one of our better players today.

There's more flair and creativity in Nani than in anyone else at United arguably. If we're going to continue to play through our wingers then Nani must start because he's more likely to beat defenders and get crosses and shots in than any other winger we have.

Clearly rusty but still willing to make things happen and we almost got something cause of it. Good pot shot from him looking to come inside, got lucky with the rebounds but that's what can happen when you take a chance. We've got too many safe players. Hopefully will see a lot more of him soon, got two weeks now to get some sharpness.

Nani, welbeck rvp and Hernandez to start as the front 4 against palace please. Valencia as rb, jones is just not good enough going forward

He's one of our most creative players and can create a chance out of nothing. I know he's infuriating but most of the time he is one of our best players and he simply must play when fit. Really glad we are keeping him, although the fact we haven't announced his new contract is slightly bizarre

His approach to a game was summed up by his first pass. Instead of passing out to the right wing, he decided to play an intricate one-two, which didn't work. But that's the type of player he is and there's a massive contrast between the player that played at Anfield today and the one that played at Anfield last year and was subbed off for Scholes.

That shot had so much fecking sizzle..

But his touch was awful when he came on. Clearly not ready yet.

He looked rusty but he's got genuine all round quality and isn't one dimensional. Was great to see him on. He hit that long range effort brilliantly too.

This. He is the kind of winger us to see play even if we are a wingplay side by nature. At least his touch is usually great (not yesterday) and all his work isn't restricted to along the touch line.

Yeah, he really did feck all except have a good shot and take a shit corner. He's clearly not match fit yet.

I'd start him on the 14th and every game possible after. As someone above said, he'd a winger who can dribble, pass and cross. He tries to make things happen. Heck, right now, surely Zaha should be getting a look in too.

Not a great game from him, but he looked one of the few players that could actually threaten. Hopefully we can get him full up to speed quickly and have him firing on all cylinders.

Thing about Nani is that even if he is having a shitty game, he is capable of a match winner at any second, something young and Valencia aren't

I know he hasn't played in a while, but he was shit yesterday. He had one good effort on goal, but he gave the ball away countless times. He's got to start against Palace, though. It's a shame he's got to wait another 2 weeks before getting another chance.

Nah, that's a bonus. It'll give him time to get some more fitness under his belt. Hopefully he'll get some game time for Portugal.

I reckon he will be revealed as our midfield signing at 11pm tonight....when he signs his new contract.

He was rusty as hell yesterday when he came on, but he still looked capable of doing something brilliant. The pass to Hernandez before the van Persie chance a good example.

Not to mention the shot with his left foot...

From the Skysports transfer page -

And the same newspaper reports that Manchester United winger Nani, who was strongly linked with a move away from Old Trafford during the transfer window, is now set to sign a new four-year deal at Old Trafford.

Good news if true.

Agree on both counts and he was the only player who showed the ability to do something different and create space for himself at Anfield. If we're going to continue to play down the flanks its frankly idiotic to exclude Nani from our starting XI. As much as Nani can frustrate he's got more flair than anyone else at United and I'd rather watch him beat a man and whack it wide than see a 40 year old Giggsy or an off form Ashley Young run into the likes of Glen Johnson over and over again or send aimless passes over the heads of all our attackers for 90 minutes week in week out.

Have been hearing this for more than a week. Would be great to see a confirmation of a new deal for both him and Januzaj. Will make me feel a lot better about our summer business.

Yep, for me he is our 2-3rd best player behind RVP and Rooney. We would be absolutely mad to let him go.

He needs to cement his place in the team and have a constant run to show his true worth.
