Brilliant performance from him today, and against arguably the best LB in the league.

I loved his attempt at a barrel roll shot when he was given the pen.

He's always had the talent, but his decision making recently has brought it all together.

brilliant game vs arguably the best LB in the world. what a player.

He still is. His ability to run with the ball without losing possession really sets him apart. There were times when Cole thought he could get a foot in but Nani was always a step ahead. Last two premier league games our right hand side has been extremely strong and that's a good change from the left hand side being the dominant one early on, which goes to show how good we are on both flanks.

Not just the best 'winger' in the country but one of the best attacking players in europe really.

Nani at his best is better than Valencia or Young at theirs. He's amazingly talented.

Jamie Redknapp (not normally one for hyperbole..) got it right for once, when he said he hadnt seen someone give Ashley Cole such a hard game in years. What a brilliant performance by Nani. Does he get an assist too, by the way?

What a stunning performance today. The last time someone killed Cole that was Valencia

so does anyone have this first 100 games stat?

He's again wrong. Valencia also destroyed Cole when Chelsea visited at OT last season.

What a terrific performance by Nani though and good to see that he's receiving praise from the media.

I should've worded it better, I meant as difficult game as Nani gave him. For my money, Nani's performance against Cole was better than Valencia's.

Yup. Valencia too has given him a torrid time.

Disagree. Valencias wasn't as flashy but Cole may as well not been on the pitch the last time they met.

Yeah I thought about Valencia's performance when I read that as well.

I hope Nani will score some similar goals this season.

Just like in his first year at United.

The Portuguese left Old Trafford with a bottle of champagne courtesy of host broadcaster Sky Sports, who named him Man of the Match. It was an assessment that raised no eyebrows from Sir Alex.

“Nani's marvellous, he was brilliant today," Sir Alex said. "Absolutely brilliant. He's a terrific player, the lad, and he's starting to mature. We're going to get the best years out of him, no doubt."
:)

There's no doubt about that!

And people, stop comparing him to Ronaldo, even when it's favourable. It's an unfair comparison and they're not the same type of player. Ronaldo is a goal machine, Nani is a provider.

His first touch is just .

For a player that's not a particularly reputed passer he makes those stupidly difficult outside of the foot passes look easy every now and then. Getting back into his single-handedly carrying the attack form, with Young, Anderson and Rooney in particularly good form to go along with it there's a few more big score games to come.
