To be fair, he has to talk about himself alongside Ronaldo as they play for the same team. As wingers go, yes, they're among the best in the word. I wouldn't infer from those comments that Nani somehow thinks himself and Ronaldo are out on their own, way ahead of the best of the rest. Don't see any delusions of grandeur in what he said.

I wish he wouldn't come out with the same "only god knows the future" shite his buddy once did though. I prefer players to shut the feck up while negotiations are ongoing. Sending 'come and get me' pleas to other clubs is irritating.

For the most part it's the way it is now. Part of that is due to the agents but just something clubs have to deal with now

I am getting sick of the way we handle our contracts at the moment

Losing Nani would be a total backwards step. We need to retain and build this pre-season, not off load quality

I'm relaxed about it right now, think he will stay. We are good at rewarding players with contracts.

I don't think Nani's going anywhere.

We surely wouldn't be so foolish as to let one of our best players slip away like this. He's one of the genuine world class players we have at the moment. On his day he's simply sensational and such a threat to everyone. Last year was a bit more inconsistent but between him, Valencia and Young, our wings were one of the highlights of the season. We've got to keep that contingent together if we have any ambition.

Randomly good finish, that. From that angle, there's no way the keeper should be justifiably left nowhere near the shot. Great goal.

Hope he has a good Euro. Was devastated for him missing the World Cup. Seriously class player

I suppose you could say the keeper should've done better but I think he was still setting himself and Nani shot early - there were options for him to cross/pass inside too

I thought he was going to fire it across for someone to tap it in, but then Almeida was having a shocker and everybody else decided to shoot from 30 yards all game so he made the right choice and it was a great finish.

Keeper had no chance.

Watching that goal you think to yourself Nani is a hair's breadth away from becoming the most devastating player in the Premier league. The only real flaw with Nani in the past has been his decision making and execution. I would say in the past couple of years the former's improved a lot but the latter can sometimes abandon him especially in shooting. He's only 25, still years from his peak, he polishes that aspect of his game and I can see him scoring 20 goals in a season.

There was a part in the first half, someone played a long ball over the defender which Nani controlled on his chest, it was ridiculous because he had no right to control it like that, just unfortunate the ball didn't bounce for him afterwards. I think the euros will be huge for him. Missing the world cup was a massive blow, but this year he has a chance to shine for Portugal.

He was helped off the pitch with 1 minute left after a challenge and then went down to the dressing room. Didn't look serious.

Ah. Given our records with injuries I take them all serious until officially told otherwise. Hopefully he's ok, would be disgusting to miss the Euro as well.

"An ultimatum to United? No, not everything you guys write is true" - From Portugese Journalist Goncalo Lopes on twitter.

To be honest I don't give a feck whether he goes or not... he just doesn't give his 100% (you feel he can be very much better than that)... what i see from him is playacting and dive and some super duper ball control from time to time... time for him to realise how lucky he is to play for Manchester United... either he sort his things out or feck off!

Get a grip.

Only way I could see Nani going was if we were going to sign Hazard. Kagawa is more a central player from what I understand, and my own pipe dream Modric is the same.

Losing Nani at this point would definitely be a step backwards, but I don't think he is as irreplaceable as some on here think. If we had signed Hazard for example, I could see Nani moving on for a decent fee.

He isn't irreplaceable. But having said that, it would be utterly daft to lose one of our best players in his prime, when we would simply need to go out and develop or buy a replacement.

Start watching some football, that might help.

We couldn't get a player as good as Nani for the price we'd get if we sold him. Hope he doesn't leave, class player.

We have to do everything we can to keep him here. He's been one of our top player over the last 2.5 years and brings something to the team that hardly no other player can provide

Nani should be in the £40m+ bracket given his age and talent.

Can you imagine if he was currently at Spurs! His price would be off the scale!

Some players you need to break the bank for and Nani fits the bill, he should be one of the top earners at the club.

You just made Jesus cry.

Nani is criminally under-rated on here

He should be rewarded with a contract that reflects his ability - get your money out Glazers

People have fawned all over Sanchez and Hazard the last 2 summers

Nani is every bit as good - certainly in Hazards case

Nani is better than Hazard, no question about it.
