Lucas Moura - (Caf decides he’s naff again) Spurs bound?

We are in need of a real winger. Sanchez should be a no 10 for me. Martial on the left and Moura on the right

The problem is that Rashford is not a flair player. I don't see him starting for us on a regular basis. He could up his game by actually improving his decision making but other than that, I think he's mostly effective coming off the bench for Martial because he brings pace and energy to his game.

Like said, smokescreen for Sanchez, Jose's does it all the time....

Buy him. Rotate/compete with Jesse. Added depth if we add another attacker in the summer.

Between Tottenham and Napoli so not impossible that he stays in Paris at the end.

I think he will defo go somewhere this is the second transfer window they have been trying to flog him. I really can't see us signing both Malcom and him thou.

I think Malcom is Spurs bound. Lucas Moura may actually end up in Italy or even Arsenal for that matter. This guy has quality and flair but his consistency has let him down coupled with reduction in playing time.

Would be his best destination. They play some unbelievable football and culture wise he’d settle in Naples quite easily compared to London.

I agree with that as well and I'm sure Zlatan probably gave him a glowing recommendation of how amazing Naples is. I think Lucas Moura could easily rediscover his form and be a huge asset for them.

Would suit United like a glove and for that price, makes too much sense

Agreed. Lucas Moura in January for cut-price and Mesut Özil in July on a free would complete our attack for foreseeable future basically. And we can focus on our CM & full-backs in the summer. Still hoping us to attempt to sign him but it's looking very unlikely now.

Naples can be oppressive for footballers who can't set foot outside without being harassed by fans. Source: players who moved from Napoli to PSG.

London like Paris have quieter places for the mega rich.

According to ESPN, China + Arsenal + Tottenham + Napoli follow Lucas Moura

Funnily, Arsenal and Tottenham both target Malcom.

Lucas likely to settle in London IMO

Indeed, it doesn't make sense to take both players

I think Arsenal would be the place for him

Looks quite likely he might sign for Spurs - would be a great signing imo and would give us much needed pace in the attacking third.

Would like to see him here but doubt it’ll happen. I still don’t understand why people on here want Ozil at this club.
It's because his dribbling is really poor and isn't creative enough in terms of general play. He has speed, I give him that, but he doesn't have that sudden change of direction and an eye for a pass. He also lacks the subtle ability to pass and move and continue passing quickly and create an opening, something at which Özil is pretty good.

Özil, while not being as great as Iniesta or the current version of De Bruyne, still has a decent eye for a pass, which we lack when Pogba is missing (Mata is nowhere near good enough at that). We have enough pacey players/dribblers in Martial, Sanchez, Rashford and Lingard (Lukaku isn't shabby either), now we need creative passers to open up tight defenses.

Well, the rumoured transfer fee range - low twenties to mid twenties (millions of pounds) - is not outrageous in this day and age, so if Poch wants him then it would seem well worth the gamble.

I wish I was as convinced, still for the price its a very good deal.

He was one of the most highly rated young players in the world only a few years ago - he has a lot of talent but the PSG move hasn't been great for him. I think he could be a really superb signing for Spurs and gives us something we really need in the squad. As you say - for the price being quoted it's a no-brainer.

People talking about this guy like he’s world class. LOL.

Nothing but a speed merchant and a bang on average player. Glad United didn’t even consider him; there’s no need for players of his calibre (lack of) at a club like United. Spurs or someone else can take him for all I care...

He has talant and flair, will be one of the fastest in the Premiership I just hope his end product improves.

You are entitled to your opinion but remember it was only a few years ago Utd were desperate for him and PSG had to pay over the odds to get him. Nobody here has suggested he is world class but he could be a very good player.

While I agree with most of what you say, regarding creativity, Lucas is an insane dribbler.

Yea thanks but no thanks, I’ll still pass 11 times out of 10. And he went to PSG for the money so he can screw off trying to link himself with United now.

Have voiced my opinion on him a number of times in this thread already but I can’t but laugh at the overrating that’s being done of him honestly. And while the latter may be true, it’s time for United to move on from these reclamation projects and just go for quality or work with that you have already. Moura would be no different than the meh signings prior to José arriving here. Rather save the cash. Plus Jesse is clearly better than him anyways so makes no sense for United to add a poorer player in Lucas...but like I said, by all means Spurs or Arsenal can sign him. He’s just not at the standard to be at the worlds biggest club and quite frankly that’s just the truth.

Would be a good signing.

Sanchez, Aurier and Moura adding a good amount of depth to the Spurs squad,

Pace is what that Spurs team is lacking. Look at the attackers. Eriksen, Lamela, Alli, Kane, Sissoko, the only one with a bit of zip is Son. A tricky and pacey attacker is what they need, they have been linked with quite a few. Zaha, Malcolm, Moura.

Be interesting to see how he goes if Spurs sign him, and for a good price, 22mil seems like a steal in this market.

He'd be here if Mourinho was slightly interested. If we could pull of Sanchez , we could easily get Moura who wants out ASAP. I think Mourinho expects Sanchez to play on the right, hence the search for right winger seems Off.

Sissoko is quick isn't he? Just not very good, but fast at it.
