It's clear by your long reply that nothing I say will change your view so I think we are just going to have to agree to disagree on this one
There was also a lot of character development in season 2.
That SOS episode told us a lot about Rose & Bernard and gave us a hint about the magnetic centers around the globe which was further clarified to the oceanic 6 in season 5 under that church.

....True, I got a bit too into that didn't I?
I don't think so. Everyone plays there part thats why lost is great to watch.
So everyone should feck off except locke, jack, sawyer, kate and ben ?
I reckon they got more screen time than SPOILER
Mockney sometimes people don't always want the story being driven and to the point. At times it's nice to have episodes like S.O.S, although it's not one of my favourites. Those kind of episodes are part of why I and many other love Season One so much, and Season Two. Some of the funniest and more likable episodes in the show are the ones like Tricia Tanaka Is Dead in S3 and Some Like It Hoth in S5.
how much has he seen thus far ?
I agree with Mockney on S2 to an extent. I don't think it was bad by any means, but it is definitely the series that suffered most from not having an end date. There was a lot of padding in there, which wasn't too bad at the time as is offered insight into characters we weren't as fully acquainted with, but doesn't really interest on a re-watch. Plus the big plot points, the hatch and the tailies, were both very contained within the series. Aside from bringing in Des and introducing the Others as more than just whispers and Ethan (although that technically began at the end of S1, only Ben was really introduced in S2), it really hasn't had much effect on the show as a whole.
If they'd had an end date from the start, the important bits from S2 would probably have just been squeezed into 1 & 3. In fact, I think I remember reading a few years ago about the hatch storyline being originally intended to finish in S1 had to it not been for the need to stretch things out? Could be wrong though.

Yes!..Exactly! exactly exactly exactly....Exactly
What would your 10 best episodes be then feckos?...I'd guess there'd be less S2 episodes than most when you actually think about it. I'm probably completely wrong though as usual
Can't remember all, but I think the Constant might still be my favourite...
Shit, I'm, going to try and see if I can watch Seasons 1-5 before S6 starts
I'm trying really hard not to pick up any spoilers this time. Last season for instance I knew ************** when I really should have stayed off the Lost Forums, and experienced the full WTF moment
*The Brig
You can skip out season 2 to save you some time
Is another great ep. Deals with a major unanswered question in a good, well written and acted way. See S3 was great if you ignore the first 10 or so episodes
In your opinion...It had more overtly shit episodes, but it also had more infinitely better episodes. I prefer the greatness of extremes to the steady stream of mediocrity
Also...Annoying Lost question 402: Why is Faraday American when both his parents are English and he went to Oxford? Do we think that'll ever be explained? And do you think they'll finally reveal that he's Billy Cudrups crack addicted runt brother?
