I like New Sawyer though, but watching through the older seasons I also like Old Sawyer.
I kind of liked Le Fleur too but all good things must come to an end.
Up to Season 5 now on the re-watch through. It's not as good as 4. Some of it is quite 'meh' and some of it is completely ridiculous. 2nd half of 3 and most of 4 are the best seasons since 1 IMO.
I don't get the whole hating on Jack thing either, I like Jack, he's far less of a stereotype than Sawyer is. His crying and wheezing get a bit annoying though, but Kate is far worse than both and Sayid is clearly the don.

Season 2 is the best of the lot imo and the opening scene of season 2 was cum worthy

For me nothing tops season 1, thats when all the mystery started.
Its also when the script writing was at its strongest.
I do have to go back and watch the other seasons to recap on how great they were but nothing tops season 1 IMHO.
Right, I've finished the West Wing, time to get through the rest of the fifth Season before Season 6 starts.
So far on my recap I'm up to The Man From Tallahassee. Should be back at the S5 finale by Feb.

You lot are fecking weird. 2 was the worst IMO. They were stalling drastically and nothing that happened in it has any relevance to the over all story particularly. The hatch for example is a pretty redunant story line now. The pointless tailies, the others walking around in dirty swaddling clothes for a still unexplained and pointless reason, crap filler flashbacks. Only Eko and Desmond were any good. How you can put it above 1 is a complete mystery
For me.
1 - Everything started. Genuine mystery and gripping storylines. Pilot, Walkabout, All the Best Cowboys have Daddy Issues. Walt taken from the raft. Finale was a bit weak though
4 - The Oceanic 6 and the switch to flashforwards, the Freighter people, Michaels return, genuine impetus and forward story thrust. The Constant.
3 - Flashes before your eyes, Charlie's sacrifice, Desmond as a main character, Locks paralysis explained and Sawyer finally getting his revenge, the fantastic finale - bad begining run though and bloody Niki & Paolo
5 - Bit confusing but progressive story telling and some great insight into the islands past with things like Daneille's flashback (-ish thing)

If any season was a filler season it was number 3. In fact to call season 2 a filler season is just plain daft in my eyes. It was fantastic but it's your opinion so thats fair enough.
You probably want to spoiler some of that stuff for Elvis and potential others, Mockers.
Only the first few of season 3 were filler. The 2nd half of the season moved the plot on quite significantly and wrapped up some long standing questions. Far more than anything in season 2...What actually happened in any of the season 2 episodes? What was good about it exactly? I'd like details please

its been a long time since I re-watched them so i've probably forgotten a few things but, season 2 started with the very long awaited answer of what is in the hatch and in the process introduces Dharma/Hanso/Valenzetti etc a very, very big part of the show. It gave us a much more information on the others, also answerd what happend to Claire when she was taken, gave us Desmond, gave us Ben and all in all a great story with the ongoings in the hatch.
Honestly, I dont get why you didnt like it so much.
Lockdown was such a good episode
Season 2 was excellent, I agree. Benjamin Linus! He's my favourite character. Jack's a bit of a poof really. Sawyer is also another great character.
The episode in S3 when Hurley finds the Dharma van is one of my faves.
