Television Lost: The Final Season

I predict an episode will be aired on the 4th May, watch this space.

We just said no future episode talk! I'd spoiler tag that if I were you. Just to be safe.

Why can't we stick to the simple principle of just giving an indication of what is in the spoiler (eg. Episode title spoiler, or Casting spoiler) before it. From memory, Mockney did it with his casting spoilers which made sure I avoided them. Personally I'm trying to avoid most things, but a lot of people don't consider these things as major spoilers, which is fair enough, so they should be able to discuss them. Any other show and I'd be doing so too probably, but I like to keep myself 'blind' with Lost, so to speak. I doubt anybody on here would post a major spoiler anyway, as we all seem to be genuine Lost fans who wouldn't want it ruined for ourselves or others.

The mature thing to do for sure. C'mon folks, please use your judgement before posting something that might ruin 6 years of an amazing show. Tagging spoilers as Casting, Rumour, Big-Bad-Nasty spoiler etc might help.

That said don't think anything in the last few pages have been spoilers at all.

I hope she gets killed by Smokey and burned by that electromagnetism machine, at the same time.

And then Vincent eats her remains.

And then Sun and Jin eat Vincent before he had a chance to digest her.

I almost sure how it ends and I said it two years ago, its all working out (smug mode)

Jack becomes the new Jacob and gets everyone off the island except for the man in black (Locke) and it all starts all over again with more Dharma and more plane crashes and survivors etc

This is a very good theory from LP about Aaron possibly being MIB

OK, I know this has long been debated but its just so clear to me now. I have been rewatching past seasons, and Aaron is just built up to be too damn important to where the last time we see him, he is taken home to his biological grandmother. That just can't be his entire story. I mean Richard Malkin people, listen to him! With only 5 hours left, I don't see little Aaron coming to the island anytime soon. Lets not forget MIB's comments to Kate about Claire being crazy, his own mother being crazy. The only thing is, Aaron has to time travel somewhere along the line. And we all have to believe that MIB's name is being withheld for the simple reason that we already know the character. Is anyone denying that?

thinking along the lines of that theory, is the boy we keep seeing in the jungle that freaks out MIB a young Jacob or a grown up Aaron/MIB?

That's the annoying thing about Lost. You think about all this shit about possible endings, then there's always the "so wtf does this person/event/god knows have to do with it then," which opens up completely different theories.

I completely forgot about the boy we see now and again, but when you think about it you can be sure he'll have some form of influence on where the story is going.

It's the fact that Smokey is so freaked by him when he sees him.

I for one think there have been too many characters going back and forth this season, no ones motivation at this point seem certain.

If it only takes an emotional few lines from Desmond, for Sayid to change his mind and character again, that would make his arc this season pretty pointless. Sawyer doesn't seem to have a plan either, or a working one atleast. Hurley and Jack as well - both have a renewed sense of faith in the Island, but they both seem to have no clue whatsoever what to do.

With four episodes to go, I don't think there is a single lead character besides Jacob and Locke that knows whats going on. The writers really should have resolved most of the plot points half way through the season and let the story progress from there. Its like they're setting up for a last minute finale reveal. Hope the payoff is worth it they way them have been refusing to answer questions and answering some big ones in such an anti-climactic way.

I'm just hoping they don't do a Soprano's on us and just

:lol:That would be pissing off. I don't expect them to answer all the questions but it would be nice if they didn't come up with entire new plot lines this late in the game. I hope they end the ALT within the next few episodes so that we can have some all-island action.

Sopranos' was the best ending of all time, shame so many did not actually get it.

LOST is not as well written to pull off an ending like that. Expect plenty of deux ex machina in the finale.

Oh I liked the Sopranos ending too, just that it wouldn't work with LOST for sure. The USP of the show has always been the mystery, the questions and the theories that it has provoked and to end it on a cliff-hanger would be a serious cop-out.

That is the problem, Sopranos was not a cliff hanger at all but that is another discussion.

Do not think you will see all the mysteries solved, they are going to dodge many of them.

For example, why did not Claire jump in time with other survivors? Unless they explain her as dead and being claimed by Smokes, that will be a big hole.

Same goes for Wildmore-Ben rivalry. They devoted one arc of the whole season to it and now it is more than likely that there will be no pay off.

There hasn't been a major death this Season yet, apart from maybe Juliet but a lot of us expected that after 'The Incident'. I can see Jack sacrificing himself to save everyone else. I've always liked Jack, through each Season, am I the only one? A lot of people seemed to dislike him. The writers have apparently said the ending will be very powerful and emotional.
