  • I have a feeling United will do decent this game, might even get a win. Last time I had this feeling was the fa cup final.

The only I'm clinging to is that we're game raising cnuts these days so maybe we'll snatch a point.

Otherwise, it's going to be a bloodbath.

It show have far we have fallen when the Liverpool manger is asked in a press conference if he plans to rotate players for the game on Sunday. The implication being that they could probably rest some big players and put the 2nd string out and still collect an easy 3 pts.

They are playing a team that is 14th in the league, halfway in the season, and slipping further down. What else would they be asking him?

Well we've had a decent break, time to train, and nearly everyone available. So it should be better than it has been.

I'd bite yor hand off for a draw though.

If we lose by a 3 goal margin, let's say that is the minimum we can hope.

If we can draw... no, impossible.

You all know our players are weak mentaly and have already gave up this game like it will not exist. We'll be ashamed for the next 12 month with this defeat, but they will forget it the following day.

    ------------------------------------------------------Onana----------------------------------------------------------
    -------------------------------Yoro--------------Maguire-----------De Ligt-----------------------------------
    Amad---------------------------------Ugarte------------Casemiro---------------------------Mazraoui
    -------------------------------------------Bruno------------Mainoo----------------------------------------------
    ------------------------------------------------------Hojlund---------------------------------------------------------

I would try to have Mazraoui on Salah, with De Ligt covering the space.
Amad on the wing back role and letting us having 4 men in midfield to try to survive.
And let the wrestler doing his job alone far far away againt their defense.

In an ideal world, Konate would take a staight red on Amad. They would still have the ball and we score on set piece.

My god, it looks like we are a Championship team

Lets hope its snows like mad and the game is cancelled !

Its not a good time to play Liverpool although i think we might actually do well in this game.

I don't think it will be as bad as people think. Not saying we won't lose, but with Ugarte back and a full weeks training, I think we will see us give a better account for ourselves than most think

Might want Maz out at LWB then and not central midfield then…bite

I’m seeing a few selections with Amad as a wing back which won’t be happening anyway.

Agreed. I anticipate something similar to the match at Emirates, where we look solid and in control albeit toothless upfront and weak from set pieces. 2-1 loss.

I don’t think it’s about training or selection anymore. It looks to me like Amorin or INEOS or a combination of both have lost the big players in the dressing room over the last month and the players have stopped yet again. I can’t blame anyone at the club for thinking wtf at the moment as SJR culls all these meaningless few thousands here and there and charities and jobs and raises ticket prices while giving Rashford the month off in the busiest period, the one that makes or breaks a season @ 1.2 million to put his feet up and tweet at home, top red! sack a manager for millions, sporting director for millions and keep a straight face. We are currently a shambles on and off the pitch and it permeates all through the club. A lot of the staff and players know they have no future here anymore or don’t want to be here anymore and they’ve stopped giving anything beyond the basics and just collecting their money. The pride is gone.

That’s my take. The tools have been downed again and this season can’t end soon enough.

Can we stop saying this? It's lazy.

It also let's all of the executives / owners off the hook for a decade of atrocious neglect.

The reason we are bad is because we've been run appallingly by the people who make the decisions - not because the players have continuously downed tools, which is a narrative the media like to push.

There might have been periods over the last decade where one or two players have stopped giving 100%, but for the most part, I don't think "lack of effort" is even close to being the problem.

I respectfully disagree. We have a top 6/8 squad even if we coast. Then we add De Ligt, Nouss, Ugarte, Yoro and Zirkzee. Fair some players are going to need time to adapt, some might not adapt at all but all are in their prime except for Yoro and the two lads from Bayern hit the ground running. how then have we gone backwards from even last season which was shocking? That’s half a team signed. Big experienced squad, best youth setup in the country but we keep getting out worked and overrun at home. Mistakes? I think it’s the top players not giving a shit because the owners are arseholes but we can agree to disagree. Ever since Rashford was publicly dropped we’ve had 95% bad results. It’s a player issue.

I do like the idea of a right side being = Maz(RCB) Amad (RWB) Ugarte (CM) Bruno (AM)

I would stick with that for most of the league games regardless of opposition tbh.

Less said about the left side the better.

We are usually pathetic at Anfield even when playing much better than this, I can’t even remember last goal we scored there in the league. This game is just a write off and simply about damage limitation.

Don’t trust this group of players not to concede within first five minutes and game will be done and dusted by half time.

It's the PL. We coast, we get relegated. Goes for every team in the division.

Apparently Rashford ill and not training.
No wonder players and club are surprised and happy with his effort in training.. they haven't noticed how bad his effort has been, cause he hasn't been there.

    Onana

    Dalot - Mazraoui - De Ligt - Yoro - Maguire - Evans - Martinez - Malacia

    Ugarte

    Amad

safety is important, so therefore I think it's vital the game is rescheduled until after the January transfer window

I'm going leftfield - with Martinez at LWB to do a snide job on Salah for the entire game. Oliver will probably send him off early in the second-half though.

    Onana

    Mazraoui
    Maguire
    Yoro

    Diallo
    Ugarte
