Regardless of score tomorrow, I want to see us fight for every single ball, right up until the final whistle. Especially so if we go a few down early on.

The capitulations and the resigned look of defeat the players adopt so quickly, is the most frustrating and unacceptable part for me, and I feel like we’re rapidly approaching that phase again.
This is one of the biggiest traits we lost since SAF left. We never used to know when we were beat. Now, a goal goes in and it's clear as day the players drop.

Some media channels suggesting there is. Good chance this match will be cancelled due to the forecast of snow and ice.
Personally i hope so. It would give more time for training and who wants to play a very inform liverpool who are blowing every opposition away.

Yeah really sad. Because we finshed matches so strongly, it used to be said that United are never beaten, we just run out of time.

Last manager(s) I didn't have that feeling with was Mourinho and OGS to a certain degree. Everyone else, almost immediate defeat.

With the current forecast it really shouldn't be postponed. But he we live in woke times and it would probably be a bonus for us if it was called off.

Might go and pray to the snow god.

This post reminds me of the Stewart Lee bit about people confusing ‘PC gone mad’ with health and safety protocols.

Fingers crossed this one gets postponed until we can get in some more players. If it happens tomorrow we could see the first double figures loss of our Premier League lifetime!

    Woke times

Using extreme weather events as an example of ‘wokism’ is a new one.

Contrary to others, I want the game to go ahead so we can get it out of the way and forget it forever. We never turn up at Anfield no matter how good the team is so it is always a very unpleasant watch.

    The massacre at Anfield Road.
Starring Mo Salah as The Executioner with special guest star Michael Oliver as the Devil slaughter.

The fact your calling temperatures around freezing and a chance of sleet and snow as extreme weather in northern England in January kind of sums it up.

It's weather you would expect at this time of year In that location. Certainly isn't extreme. It will be difficult on high ground no doubt, but Liverpool is low lying so will probably be fine.

I’ve started watching a lot of old United games due to obvious reasons and this is one of the biggest things you’d notice (bar the quality obviously) between now and then. Players just busting a gut to win a ball back , flying into tackles etc (granted VAR wouldn’t allow half of them today)

We are still going to have same average footballers next time we play them. It won't make much difference whether they're playing well or not, they're on a different level.

Just pack the defence, get it out of the way, then move on to the fixtures we have a chance in. That's how I feel.
We may offload one or 2 and get in 1 or 2 in January. We also may start winning games once the Arsenal cup game is done with. Confidence is a big thing and right now it’s through the floor . It gets cancelled we have a full week to prepare fully for Arsenal and get some much needed coaching done.

This could easily beat the 7-0 with the current state of our squad and the way the Scouse are playing now. I think they'll be trying to get that record win.

Slim chance we turn up for this one, Lady Luck is on our side, we nab a 1 goal victory and people wonder if it's the start of a new era. It won't be though.

Far more likely we get overrun all over the park and they score 3 or 4. Have a feeling it won't be a cricket score.

    Agreed 100%.

I think if Liverpool score within the first 20 mins, our players will spiral and lose all faith and confidence.

Hopefully Amorim plays deeper and not try to go toe to toe with Liverpool, just keep it tight and respectable, no thumping and thrashings.

We're literally 9/1 in places to win this. We've become a Mickey Mouse club.

just here for when the result goes into the guinness book of world records.

The cnut who wrote the GBR was done by the IRA. Offering rewards for 'information'.

Shot multiple times and his corpse left on the street for all to see.

It's a good analogy for what will happen to us tomorrow.

Why would we want this to be cancelled? We're likely losing either way so just get it out of the way

And that today is preferable to what we had before, which was the entire 1970s, which in retrospect were entirely unacceptable.

My jaw was on the floor, at times, watching the show 'It was alright in 70s'. Some of the stuff that was acceptable in TV shows was nuts compared to today's standards.

Yeah the fixtures are more forgiving once we get that Cup game out of the way. We should be able to wrack up some wins and get some confidence back in the squad.

On transfers I'm not so sure we can do much. Hopefully we can do something to improve the squad and get don't go for any pointless panic loans.

This is gonna be a spanking either score wise or performance wise. We don’t have the mentality in the team to go to anfield and get any kind of result.

It’s hard enough with a strong squad never mind what we have.

I am expecting a loss but not the repeat of 7-0 or something. That game was just incredible, everything fell for Liverpool that day. Every fecking ball and call went their way.
i think it'll be similar to the 4-0 loss under Rangnick

I couldn't help but laugh at one point watching it as it was so absurd. But you're right it wasn't a 7-0 game. They obviously deserved to win but they were ridiculously clinical, scoring 7 from 8 shots on target and something like 2.9 xG.

I see no reason we cannot get a positive performance and result here.

I just refuse to be too downbeat with United, it might be crap right now but things will no doubt improve.

The manager has come at a really busy time and inherited a squad that will take time to adjust to his new system, give it time.

I just do not get the pity dick approach that a lot of our fan base are doing right now.

To be honest, I hope it snows and the game gets called off and moved to a later date.

    My line up.

I feel if we keep it compact in the middle we’ll have a chance and this line up should help.

I agree. You can run, but you can’t hide.
yeah and people saying extra training sessions etc do realise that we will just lose training sessions elsewhere because it will just be crammed into somewhere else ? doesn't make a difference in the big picture.
