Still work in progress, not the finished article yet. But I’m sure CP, Brighton and Leicester have been games we would easily have dropped points in recent years, CP being our bogey team and Puel having an Indian sign over Klopp. So the signs are promising that we will challenge, but early days still.

I know they have won all their games so far so this will sound a bit silly, but im not as worried about them as i was at the start. Maybe i'll do another 180 once Fabinho and Keita are settled.
You’ve looked better than we have overall, although I think you’re a bit easier to create chances against.
Agree, but midfield is a huge part of that and we knew the capability of Hendo-Wij-Milner already. Henderson in particular was shocking today - very little press resistance.
I thought he was poor as well. He’s so easy to bypass when the opposition come forward. He’ll get found out big time if he plays against Spurs.
I've not really been thinking of the title, and after watching the Leicester game I'm not convinced we can do so if we keep to this level.
Same. City are a few levels ahead of us in terms of how they control games.

First time we’ve won the first four games in a PL season so I suppose I shouldn’t moan too much.

Made it harder than what it should have been today. Had Vardy of been playing with his record against us I think we would have drawn or lost going on that second half. The form of Salah is concerning, I know he's scored a couple of crucial goals, but today and in previous games his dribbles aren't coming off, he's straying off side and is missing some chances again like he did start of last season. I think he'll score double figures again, but I think Mane will score more. Tough month ahead for us we need him 100% fit for it.

This is the biggest boom i can remember in a long while, the bust is going to be of epic proportions.

Nothing better than playing first, winning, relaxing, and watching other matches With no pressure on ourselves. 12 points and we haven’t hit our stride. I’ll take it.

When you haven’t won a league title since the 90’s, yeah I can see why there’s nothing better.

Every time the Liverpool net bulges an angel gets his wings.

Margins at this level are very fine, so I do think it's alright to be concerned. When the competition at the top is very stiff and all it takes is one mistake to drop points or change the game, I do think it's possible to be both happy with the result and also not content with what's playing out on the pitch, especially since we've been working on improving on all aspects of our play in the past few years.

Very good start from Liverpool

Am confident that keeper will cost them big time this season said it from the get go

But they still won and haven’t played really well yet imo so that is very good for them. Keep winning and build on it.still not convinced of their quality to be honest but can not argue with results couple of tricky away games to come away with wins

The Liverpool loving media and pundits, 'these are the games which Liverpool were dropping points last season'
Last season results:

Liverpool 4- 1 Westham
C.Palace 1-2 Liverpool
Liverpool 4-0 Brighton
Leicester 2-3 Liverpool

Infact they a 1 goal worse off this season.

Fachts.

Our clash in a few weeks will be very interesting, we will likely have 65-70% of the ball but you will be hugely dangerous when you have it (especially if you nick it off Jorginho), hopefully we switch Rudiger back to the left to combat Salah.

I'd say that the performance levels of City, Chelsea, & Spurs (who still have to play tomorrow) have been higher than ours over the opening few games. I'm not overly concerned about that because I'm confident that we'll gradually up our game over the coming weeks. We're 5 points better off than we were after 4 games last season, so that's a decent foundation to build upon. If we manage to pick up anything against Spurs after the international break then that's a bonus as far as I'm concerned. There's been periods in all 4 of our games where we've shown glimpses of our best, but the overall consistency & intensity isn't quite there yet. I'm quite satisfied with our 100% start, but I'm realistic enough to accept that we have to do better.

Most foreboding thing about Liverpool so far this season? Gomez

That was their one remaining weakness but the kid is developing so damn fast.

He was our MOTM by some way today. Hard to believe he only turned 21 in May. Extremely young for a central defender so I expect he'll make his fair share of mistakes, & have a poor run of form from time to time. Just praying he doesn't get crocked again playing for England. I think Southgate should go for the experience, guile, & know-how of Jones & Smalling.

I'll be amazed if that happens unless its in the league cup game and we play a second string against your first.

I'm not sure they were necessarily talking about the exact same fixtures. I think it was probably more referencing the level of the teams and thinking about the 3-3 at Watford, 0-0 and 2-2 against WBA, the 0-1 at Swansea etc. We dropped a lot of silly points last season (altho every team can say that apart from City) and it was in games where our performance levels dropped similar to the last two games this season except this season we have won both.

This is they're big chance, us and Arsenal swimming against the tide, Chelsea and Spurs not quite there, and City having to live up to last season, whilst prioritising the CL, yet you just know they'll blow it.

Think they mean 50-50 games where they're poor. Not the particular opponents honestly.

Weren't City's stats vs you guys last season possession wise in mid 60's every time? We are already matching City's type of possession numbers under Sarri.

I reckon Klopp will try and blow us away with quick transitions like he did with City.

I think so too. Either way, I'm REALLY looking forward to playing Chelsea this year.

Piss easy fixtures so far. Done what was expected.

I think you are talking rubbish here. Leicester and Palace away is not an easy fixture by any stretch of the imagination. Liverpool have had a very good start to the season despite not getting out of second gear.

I hate to say it but he reminds me a lot on Ledley King, positionally sound, rapid on the ground and tackles so cleanly. Also isn't half bad with the ball at his feet, he is a real gem.

Liverpool are an entertaining yet flawed side.

I enjoy watching them because they’ll score goals and still make me laugh when trying to defend and you just know whoever their GK is will make a mistake.

They’ll comfortably finish in the Top 4 again this season because they have the ability to score so many goals. But they won’t get near Man City when the games are coming in thick and fast.

I still can’t take Jurgen Klopp seriously either. There’s something about him that screams “I don’t actually know what I am doing but I’m having lots of fun in the meantime.”

I mean exactly what I said, if you want to purposely miss my point, by all means good sir.
I seriously don't understand your point. You are saying Liverpool threw away points in games which they did not play well last season, but this season they are winning games they are not playing well in. Last season you drew at home to Everton and lost away to Swansea. Both those games you battered the opponent, so I presume you played well, but dropped points. So can you explain what point you are actually trying to make ?

All I'm saying is this myth about Liverpool struggling against lower placed teams is not true as all the media is trying to make out.

What a load of crap. You also dropped points when you played well. It works both ways.

Apart from today we have had at least 63% possession in our games. So something has to give. It’s a myth that we are primarily a counter attacking side. We are mostly posesssion based team who can also be devastating on the counter. We rarely sit back by choice. We either have lots of possession against deep lying teams or press high against teams who play out from the back.

Gomez looks so good but it's only been 4 games. Looking forward to him vs Kane, then vs Neymar/Mbappe. If he gets through our tricky run in this form then he's going to save the club a huge amount of money. If he keeps up This kind of form means that our next big signing will almost certainly be a #10 .

I think he possibly could be as injury prone as well, I very much doubt he’ll go the season without quite a few spells on the sidelines

I'm not usually one to 'defend' the club or it's personnel against rival fans as I really couldnt give a toss. If you think Klopp doesnt know what he's doing then you need to take a closer look at his squad building and the state of team when he joined, our standing and general irrelevance on a European scale. Compare it to now where you might find it difficult to name with Certainty 5 sides better than us in Europe. Or when you look at our first 11 (on paper) and see we're one player away from having a truly complete team.

You!?!?

You calling me a Liverpool fan? Low blow mate.

What I mean is that pool are inconsistent, they beat City and lose to Burnley the week after. They dont always drop points in bad games, but they soar high and stoop low usually. I think that's what the pundits mean.

In all honesty I do get the Liverpool love in, our pundit tend to do the same, but I was simply trying to interpret their meaning.

You wouldn't be replying on a United forum if you didn't give a toss.

Seriously though why are there so many dippers on the caf ? I would never in a million years join another clubs forum it is quite pathetic if you ask me. @Bergman this isn't a question to you nor is it aimed just at you.
