Oh god no! I’d rather city take home the next 10 league titles than Liverpool grab another, that will be a dark, dark day for any Man Utd supporter. The issue is they appear to be getting closer!
Look at City's squad today, every fecker cost £50 million +, don't you want them to be brought down to earth after taking the piss out of the league last year? Anyone is better than them surely?

I wouldn't begrudge them if they won it either. Their team plays good football and is miles more likeable than I can remember it being at any other point in my lifetime. No unlikable rogues like Redknapp, Fowler, Owen (I know), Benitez, Suarez, Gerrard, Carragher, Dalglish. Klopp can be a clown but that's about it.

Obviously I don't want them to win it but I'm Anybody But City at this point.

Urgh yuck, how a United fan could want the scouse to win a league title ahead of City baffles me.

Anybody but Liverpool yeah!!!

Never. Feck Liverpool.

Think people are overreacting after one game. Season is long lads.

I think city will win it again
Still not convinced by Liverpool midfield mainly due to the system employed I think it leaves gaping holes. Teams will score against them

No one wants to say it because it’s liverpool but Klopp is the perfect Utd manager and this liverpool team plays magnificent football. I think they will be better than last season and will be in for a real title challenge. The worst thing is their squad had been miles behind ours for years and while I still think ours is better on paper, there’s is better in reality and the gap in quality is only decreasing.

Nobody wants to say it except the 200 posts per week we've had on here saying exactly that for the past 2 years.

I'd hate him as united manager. He's a grade a bell end. That goal celebration alone ought to ensure he never gets viewed as anything other than a huge twat for the rest of his career. And that's ignoring his 'nobody can ever beat us' scream in the face of the fourth official when they drew with Chelsea etc etc etc

Frankly his character is annoying for opposition ad rivals but not for supporters. I would take over the top celebrating and positivity over Mourinhos Mr Negatives stance every day of the week. Character aside, Klopps teams have played the brand of football i most enjoy, his dortmund team was electric and Liverpool are equally exciting. I have always thought he was made for the Utd job, but alas we will never see that now.

If being a bellend would exclude someone from getting the Manchester United job, Mourinho or LvG would never have been appointed.

Much Like Poch for Spurs, Klopp plays an exciting brand of football and seems to be quite diligent in the transfer market, but ultimately he remains unproven. The endless list of failures in cup finals and not coming close to clinching a league title during his stint at Liverpool is evidence of that. The only time he ever won anything significant was with Dortmund, and that was during a period in which Bayern was in a state of transition and incapable of challenging. He almost got Dortmund relegated lest we forget.

Klopp, for all the love and affection he receives from his adoring fanbase, will remain a fraud until he proves otherwise. Plus he masturbates in public.

City will win it but I don't think it'll be the procession it was last season.

Bayern in 2012 had Robben, Ribery, Schweinsteiger, Lahm, Hummels, Boateng, Neuer etc all in their prime and you are telling me they were in a transition? Bayern reached the CL final in that year, they weren't a bad team by any means.

His cup final record is bad indeed, but his teams reached 2 CL finals in this decade. Mourinho has zero since 2010, Guardiola zero since 2011.

Dunno how you can call a guy a fraud who has one of the best track records in the CL in the last few years. Is Simeone now a fraud because he lost 2 finals with Atletico?

I would rather Liverpool win the League than City.

Certainly did @TrustInJanuzaj , you know what makes the United vs Pool rivalry special? We fecking detest each other as much as it's possible. From time United fans were celebrating City winning the league in 2014 I knew how strong the hate was. We are winning something this season 100% so get used to hating fellas.

I disagree, Klopp has always had the underdog teams throughout his managerial career and while he should have won some of those finals he has not been the favourite in any. I think if Klopp had replaced Fergie and had the full backing from the board that our other managers have had then we would be sitting in a very good position right now, with a team capable of winning top honours. To be honest, where Utd are right now all i'm really interested in is being the most entertaining club in the world. Again controversial, but Liverpool are that club under Klopp and I just wish that was us. I don't demand title after title, but I do demand tuning in to see my team each and every week with a level of excitement about the spectacle to come, and that comes from fast, attacking football. Thats the reason I never wanted Mourinho and thats why Klopp is the perfect fit!

Klopp has Zero since birth.

How can you possibly make the claim that Klopp has one of the best track-records in the CL when the guy has never won the competition. Ever.

He's a Fraud.

Hate to admit but I certainly think you'll be there or there abouts in the trophy hunt. For the first time in awhile it must be a good time to be a Liverpool supporter.

This idea that a manager needs to win a trophy to be good is absolutely so fecking insane that I can’t believe people still go on about it.

No Klopp and Poch haven’t won a trophy at their respective clubs. Yes they’ve done better than Mourinho.

Mate.. we have suffered enough for fcks sake. Like come on! Our turn now. Seriously I can't handle anymore disappointment.

Completely agree! How is innovation and creativity supposed to be encouraged if you only ever stick with the status quo. Talented managers just like players deserve a platform to showcase that ability and the past successes can only be used so far in this judgement.

Thank you. Educate your fellow United fans.

We beat West Ham 4-0 at home in the first game of last season as well don't everyone forget

He's a Fraud.

I said he has one of the best track-records in the CL in the last few years:

CL record per managers since 2013

Zidane: 3 wins
Heynckes / Enrique / Ancelotti: 1 win
Allegri / Simeone / Klopp: 2 final appearances
Mourinho: 0 wins 0 final appearances
Guardiola: 0 wins 0 final appearances

So yes, there are only 4 managers with better CL records than him since 2013 and he is in the pack behind with Allegri and Simeone. Never heard anyone saying those two are frauds. They certainly did more in the CL than Mourinho or Guardiola, who had better teams / teams with more money.

This is a bit of a myth. Dortmund were undeniably terrible that season but ended up finishing 7th, he wasn't really that close to relegation. Agree Klopp still has a lot to prove at Liverpool and with the side he has now they should be pushing on, but he had a very significant rebuilding job to do there and has transformed the team. Only question mark remains trophies, but he's still done a very good job and deserves praise imo. Nobody really expected them to challenge for the league as he came in mid-season and then needed 2 seasons to rebuild the team.

I think people forget what a mess Rodgers left him, to be honest. Totally wasted the Suarez money on junk like Balotelli, Lambert, Markovic etc .. Klopp has done fantastically to turn that team around, bring in genuine quality and have them exciting the fans every week.

Liverpool played great and all but West Ham were absolutely attrocious in their defensive shape. The amount of space Liverpool's midfielders and attackers had in the middle was mind boggling, they will certainly face much better defenses later in the season even from midtable clubs.

As contradictions go, this is right up there with the best of them. I won't even bring up trophy accumulation or the respective league finishes of the 3 clubs in question.

In what capacity have both Poch and Klopp 'done better' than Mourinho?

Liverpool's starting XI are excellent, and if they stay fit for most of the season they'll do really well. Difference between them, United, Chelsea and City is the squad depth at City. City's bench is really scary - world class players waiting to get on the field if someone get's injured. An injury to the talisman of any of United, Chelsea, Liverpool's players on the other hand wouldn't go unnoticed.

Allegri and someone won other trophies including leagues and cups

I know, just added that bit for flavour :D
