It would have been a total travesty if they won it after all those appalling referee mistakes and the incredible luck they had. The better team won at the end.

Chin up.

We have a CL final to play.

We will be signing new players to help us get the title.

97 points
Best defense. Only 22 conceded.
Unbeaten at home.
Only lost 1 game.
89 goals scored.

But still cant win the PL. Unbelievable really.

We kept only 2 Clean Sheets at home ALL season, 1 of them was versus Liverpool. If they showed more balls in that match, they'd have won it.

Anyways, United are in dire straits right now but its always fun to laugh at them. Hope they don't win it for another 30 years.

Hats off to this Liverpool team. They have my utmost respect showing tremendous fighting spirit and steel in them throughout the whole season. What a fight but City is just too good.

We definitely need some quality added to our midfield. Our workhorses in midfield are great but at times we’re found lacking against quality opposition.

Another forward would be nice because Origi and Sturridge are a serious drop in quality compared to what Firmino brings.

I don't count of any of City's trophies in the last few years as anything but fake - and the same goes for all sugar-daddy clubs.

It's football on cheat-mode.

In my eyes Liverpool are the true league winners this season … I don't care what the league table says.

Golden Glove is daft. It should probably be a team thing, or at least the defence.

Can we get a new poll for how many goals Liverpool will win by in the final?

We’ll have to do much better in our direct matches vs city next season. A home win next season is a must.

Wouldn’t surprise me if Liverpool struggle a bit next season, how can you go that close and just go into a new season with the same motivation? Must be soul destroying.

That's great mate but PL doesn't count in like that.

Virtually everything going for them and still missing on the title...They won't recover from that soon. Watch them struggle in the CL final.

This thread needs more pics of crying scousers

Spurs have only won 50% of their games in all competitions since the start of 2019.

They’re not a safe bet even if it is a one off game.

Not sure about this. They'll keep their best players and with some new additions they may actually do it next year. This squad is different from Benitez (2009) and Rodgers (2014).

Are Liverpool "a safe bet" to win the CL final?

I know, Liverpool are generally better than Spurs and favourites on paper. But so were City and lost. Sometimes it's not enough to be better. I feel that the psychological dynamics favours Spurs for this game. Might well be wrong though.

So back in 2017 when you finished 2nd behind Chelsea, you actually won the title?

Belated congratulations.

As if Liverpool's squad consists of semi-professional farmers

You should check how much Liverpool have spent in the last couple of years before making statements like this.

But yeah, i'm all for the #moralchampionsla

Quite the opposite. Buying your way to trophies through unearned income - otherwise called cheating - is living in fantasy land.

The reality is that otherwise City would be the same old mid-table club.

Suddenly all the tosh you have been posting over the years makes sense.

Last 5 years net spend:

City: £563m
Liverpool: £193m

That's not counting wages of course, which would make the gap even larger.

City are a fake club who have won fake trophies using vast amounts of money that they haven't earned.

Congrats to Pool for winning the Non Sugar daddy league title and to Spurs for winning the low net spend league title. One of you will do the double in a couple of weeks too. Amazing!
